Which movies empower male gays? Have you seen one in which gay characters kick arse (or balls)? Are any of them mainstream? I've yet to see such a film.

Personally, I consider myself to be a guy who happens to like dudes versus being a "gay male" haha. So movies that "empoyer" me are movies that cater to my testosterone: 300, Gladiator, and most any movies with martial arts fighting in them. Sports movies are good too, as long as they don't get too sappy with the love part.

It wasn't a specifically gay concentration camp. It was for people who wouldn't fall in step w/ the regime's totalitarian ideologies. Or people they chose to imprison "just because". But, yeah, I'm w/ you on this one. It doesn't make me feel empowered as a "gay male", however. Just as a human being. Anyone who thinks and feels more profoundly than current media "allows" should see this movie.

Most thematically important film to come out in the last 40 years, at least.

    Anything with Justin Slayer.

Prayers for Bobby is good too. Sad, but strangely uplifting.
