My best friends birthday that is! Every year we try to out do one another with gifts and creativity. I think it annoyed him that I always win so he went all out this year for me. Little does he realize I am really competitive and want to out do him haha (the benefit of my birthday being in January). I was thinking of buying a trip for the two of us to go somewhere, the only problem is, I'm not sure where.... We've already been to Cancun and Cuba together so I was thinking somewhere a little different. Any ideas boys? Although a trip to Europe would be great I don't have 5 grand to drop on the trip so lets keep the price in check haha... thanks icon_smile.gif

Almost everyone wants to go to New York from my work, so you could do some kind of road trip.

On a side note, make sure your friend will be available to go on the trip or this will be a total waste.

    I need more info...

When is his Bday? What do you like to do?

Let me give you a great idea... I absolutley LOVE New Orleans.... it is decadent, gay friendly, fun as hell, beautiful in the French Quarter and not that expensive.

If you want a decadent, fun-filled and exciting adventure without spending a ton, NOLA (New Orleans, Louisiana) is a great choice!

If looking for beaches, my favorite trip of all time was Costa Rica. I had a plane ticket, and I rented a car and I had my dive bag and just explored around with my best friend. It was awesome. Beautiful, friendly people and the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica was stunning. Lots of young Americas, so you can have a nightlife in the right places. (I went to Samara).

For a city experience, my favorite city in the world is Vancouver, British Columbia. Go in the Summertime and it is beautiful. A big, dynamic, sophisticated city in the middle of the Pacific Northwest wilderness. Nightlife, large gay population, stores, awesome restaurants (especially Asian... sushi EVERYWHERE).

I guess I should have looked on your profile to see where you are from, but these are still my favs.

Don't come to NYC in January! It's absolutely miserable here. I live here and every January I would try to escape to somewhere like LA or Honolulu

    http://www.couchsurfing.org/

Europe doesn't have to be expensive

You can go everywhere couch surfing, you get free accomodation and you get a free local guide.

It is kinda spontaneous so if youre the kinda guy who needs to plan every detail it wouldnt be great.

But hell if you come to the UK ill put you both up for a couple of nights.

    Best. Website. Ever.
