I have been told that to build muscle i need to consume whey protein. My question is after i have reached my desired muscle mass do i have to continue taking whey protein? Cant my body sustain the muscle from the proteins i take up from food?
Also which whey protein powders do you guys recommend? I was told LA Muscle was good.

Not so sure about what powders are super, but I personally think that if you take powders and supplements, you'll have to keep using them for life practically. I think your muscles would depend on the stuff, and if you then decide to stop using it... well, you'll look like you have granny's boobs! Hehe! Best bet is to just eat healthily with a good amount of protein.

Of course I'm no expert, just giving you my point of view on the subject... try asking bfg1, I'm sure he knows a thing or two. icon_biggrin.gificon_lol.gificon_razz.gificon_wink.gif

protein powders are a "supplement" to negate the need for solid natural food. They are not a magical powder they do have a degree of advantage of being lower or free from fat, but negate this with added sugar

So to answer your question you could have achieved it with food and you can maintain it with food

calories and macros are what your muscles depend on not what the format that those calories and macros come in
