Andy (Gollum & King Kong) Serkis. This is him in the Gollum suit andy%20in%20his%20mo%20cap%20suit%20enla , they film him doing the moves then computer generate the Chimp image over the top.

I want to see it too! A friend of mine said that it is hard to tell what is CGI and what is real live action.

Im really looking forward to Apollo 18 icon_biggrin.gif...looks like 'Paranormal Activity" meets 'Aliens' with a dash of Blair Witch. It will be great or suck ass thru a straw.

I liked it. A little slow at times but mostly good. No skin shots of Franco though. Booooo!!!

Awesome! 4 out of 5 starts. It wasn't what I expected. It stands on it's own and a story.
CGI is amazing. If your interested in seeing it. See it in a Theater, do not wait for the DVD, unless you have a 72" screen and a real home theater.
Acting and story worth the price of a ticket.
Frieda Pinto has to be one of the most beautiful woman in film today.
Did anyone else recognize Draco Malfoy? I was impressed.

I am looking forward to the next one.

We saw it opening night and we were both entertained the entire time. The CGI is really bad at first because it's straight animation while the chimp is still a baby, but when they show him as an adult, the effects are spectacular. This is the point where they were able to simply apply the CGI over a live human being. The biggest problem I had with it was the title. This has nothing to do with previous Planet of the Apes and is completely different in every way. That being said, I loved this movie and I love the Planet of the Apes movies too. The original one was fantastic.
