    I have mixed feelings about this. For decades the state merely looks the other way, and then this, with no progressive attempts to involve social services rather than law enforcement. Everyone knew "marriages" (not legal) with underage girls was occurring. It wasn't a secret.


    FLDS has instituted a "no marriage before 18" policy - hopefully they will actually adhere to it. Jeffs is no good, but I find the case trumped up.

    You know, it wasn't so much that they were underaged that bothered me as it was lines like this:

    Using religious guilt to convince the girls to sleep with him. It's beyond sickening.
