Although in this day and age there still the threat of nuclear war. Theres another emerging probability biological warfare. In the past ten years there have been massive improvments in the biological field. They've cloned animals, found cures and altered many virusesfor different uses. Thats not to say what if someone could enginer a virus that kills within a few days and is airborne. Just saying in a world of nuclear threats this one gets over looked. Just saying this could be another way that humanity could destroy itself. Millions of evolution all so nature could make a species that could cause its own extinction. Theres a movie coming out about this scenario.

Gym_bull saidyea, just keep this in mind. With every new technology that we discover to help us, some asshole decides to discover ways to make it into a weapon.

Then a bigger asshole turns it into a movie to drain the public of their money.

Man made or natural, I've always figured this is the way the human race will end. Our population will grow to a point where disease control will be really difficult to manage.

I'm excited for this movie! Gwyneth Paltrow's face while she's having a seizure is brilliant and horrifying:

You know what would be better? A biological weapon that only affects the genetic code that decides that people are ignorant and afraid of change. Apparently some people are literally born that way.

but if that doesn't work I'm okay with taking one for the team.

When it's your time, it's your time.

However, I still keep a hoard of N95 respirators, Tamiflu, Relenza, and have a secret, underground sealed, positive-air pressurized bunker which has provisions, weapons, and ammunition for approximately 10 years. Just in case.

This is why I'm grateful to be mortal, and hope to be dead by the time this comes to pass.

It's "Battlestar Galactica", "2001: A Space Odyssey", and "The Matrix" all rolled into one.

"Similacra and Simulation" by Jean Baudrillard

All this has happened before, and it will all happen again.

Looks to be like a really good movie... I remember there was something similar to this but it had a monkey related thing to it instead.
