I really wanna watch it. I'm amazed on how some people save so much on coupons. All the coupons I ever get are shitty like 'Buy 5, boxes of cereal, get 50 cents off' or something like that. When does it come on?

I find it ironic that they'll show Extreme Couponing right before or after Hoarders.

What's the point of having all that merchandise if you don't use them up before the expiration date? Do you really need 20 bottles of mouthwash or pickled onions?

The Extreme Couponing on TLC is one of the most popular and exiting game shows. These types of game increasing day to day all over in the media. I along with my Grand father watch the show . I watch mainly for the trainwreck appeal, but it is nice because they have the occasional episode where the person buys what they need for their family and 99% of stuff goes to charity.

I watch this show faithfully. I think of it as a suspense reality show (I'm usually at home like "there is no way in hell..." but when they actually pull it off, you almost wanna cry icon_lol.gif ...How a lady can leave a store with 10 carts full of things and only pay a dollar is beyond me! I love it!!

I have never heard of that show before but I watched that clip in the link and her shopping cart was full of over processed food.... No thank you! You could not pay me to take that stuff home.

While the idea is cool, I don't have the mental tenacity to sit around and follow coupon trend, nor the time to scrounge around for coupons in people's trash cans. Also, the sheer number of units they purchase of the same item is ideal for families, not a single man.

I think this show just sucks, if everyone did as they do, how exactly are retailers supposed to make money...and on top of that, why are we people paying full price for stuff that they're effectively getting next to nothing for....

Have no respect for these people...

Am glad we don't have this weird coupon stuff in London :p

And don't tell me they're poor, because a poor man needs food, not 5 detergent boxes with a coupon for 1 cent....hope the retailers wake up and stop giving this crap out that's being used in the wrong way..

This. Are there actually any coupons, online or otherwise, for these items which are typically on my grocery list, which I often buy and freeze in bulk when priced right at Costco or on sale ($1.99/lb chicken breast, for example) elsewhere anyway?

    eggs
    pasteurized liquid egg whites
    whey protein isolate
    steel cut oatmeal
    flaxseed
    chia seed
    raw almonds
    raisins
    strawberries
various fresh greens/ingredients for typical daily smoothies (kale, broccoli florets, spinach, collard greens, celery, dandelion, carrots, ginger, frozen blueberries, bananas plus apples or pomegranates)
    chicken breasts
    salmon filets
    ground turkey breast
    ground chicken breast
    brown basmati rice
    quinoa
    brown rice pasta (occasionally)
    Ezekial whole grain tortillas
    avocado
    Greek yogurt (occasionally)
    black beans
    lentils
bulk bags of frozen organic mixed vegetables
    sweet potato
    low sodium organic chicken broth
various root vegetables for stews (parsnips, turnips, yucca, onions, leeks, scallions etc.)
    natural apple sauce
Arctic Zero ice cream (150 calories per PINT)

This whole thread sounds like a huge troll.
"Have you seen extreme couponing [reverent awe]"
"Oh yes, it's all about the suspense - I get so emotional when they finally buy things with coupons!"

That said, I have to watch an episode now. icon_smile.gif
