AUDI TT OR PORSCHE BOXTER? [sic]

Porche Boxster. It's even better this year, some auto mags are calling it the best Porsche in the entire line, regardless of price or top speed. If you just wanna drive real roads, get the Boxster.

At what? 3-times the price? That wasn't our OP's question.

Do you live on South Beach, like the OP? The Boxster is just perfect there, and for jaunts around the area, and down the Keys, hitting gay clubs, and up the coast. And what a pick-up car. Gay guys of any age would flock to ride in it like bees to honey. You are rather clueless, at least about us down here.

think the c63 amg goes for roughly 60-70 grand.

might be in line with the boxster. all things aside, that was you're right that was not the OP's questions.. and plus the c63 amg is horrible for winter driving.

that's okay - we're all gay. We could all get away with driving one.

There. Second stereotype added to this thread.

To give some more perspective. I m 25, I have never driven before (just when I was 18 to get the driving licence) and this would be my first car. I want to feel safe and to have a cool car. I ll use it mostly in switzerland to go playing golf and skiing

wasn't there a 2 n a half men show about this whole debate. the conclusion was, the boxster is thought to be exclusively a woman's car.

I thought that belief was widely held.

Neither. The TT and Boxster are cars that married men buy for their mistresses. icon_lol.gif

Spend the extra money and get either a Porsche Caymen or Audi A5.

No better car in Switzerland than a Boxster. I lived in Europe for years (my sister took her finishing school in Zurich). Start with the Boxster, very drivable for a novice, you're young, you can make more choices later.

Don't listen to these guys who have no real experience, just what they read & fantasize. Trust me.

    1- better resale value
2-the boxster was named the most reliable car in the world
3-better engine + more fuel efficient
4-looks and is waaaay cooler than a lame audi even if it is the TT

German car and reliable don't belong in the same sentence. Care to cite the source?

Honestly if paying that much, you should go for a Lancer Evo and mod it out!
