I am 80% a morning gym guy minus weekends. Any good head coverings for those with bed head? Really don't want to get my hair wet I think it looks even worst. Like a wet rat at 6 am

Unless you're going to a gay gym in the middle of Chelsea or the Castro, what's the big deal? I'm sure there are a lot of guys (and girls) there that early that look worse than you. If you're hair isn't getting messed up any way while you work out, you're doing something wrong. The gym isn't a fashion show.

What he said. Your hair can't look that bad unless its way longer than in your pics. Just run your fingers through it so it looks mildly decent.

My gym is about 90% gay and everyone either has undone hair or a sweat soaked head. Most of us transition from undone to soaked by the time we're done.

As long as you don't go looking like this, you'll be ok.

Monogamy = Waking up with the same scraggly bedhead every morning for the rest of your life.

Oh yeah, and I'm a a year "younger" than you, so that counts. icon_cool.gif

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidWet hair, then towel dry?

I think he hates doing that...I'm right there with him. Something about wetting my hair and then drying it from the sink/tub then walking out to the gym gives me serious anxiety.

Get ready then go to the gym and if your head doesnt sweat profusely just shower and not get your hair wet...get out and use a small towel to dry your face and edges of your head.

    Is this thread for realz?

Fucked up hair in gym dudes looks hot.

All the straight dudes at my gym could give a shit about how their hair looks and they still look amazing!

There's this one Guido who spends more time fixing his hair at every mirror around the gym that working out. Annoying ass mofo!

Who cares what you look like when you go to the gym, you are going there to better your body. You go for you and no one else.

Mostly I don't care but for those days when my hair's going in 40 different directions, I wear a baseball cap. I've also noticed that if I just wear a cap for like 10 minutes, I can take it off and the hair's no longer sticking up.

my bedhead is pretty hardcore...but i still rock it.

    shrug.
Cross between whether the vanity or time wasting it would take to fix as to which annoys me more.

Dude! It's the gym and you're worrying about BEDHEAD!? icon_eek.gif

Point and case: you're not there to put on a show or look pretty. You're there to get down to business and work it. Don't worry about it. Wear your bedhead proudly, because it says "I'm determined enough to get up everyday and go straight to the gym and do my thing above all else."

Wear deodorant. And wipe down your equipment. Beyond that, if you're working out and look great my eyes never look above your chin.

    +1

PS. the gym is the only place I will go out to without showering - I won't even go to the supermarket without showering - and a number 2 on the sides / 4 on top - doesn't need any special prep!

Shaving your head might be a good option.

I admit I wouldn't dress like a total slob at the gym but I'm not going make too much effort because I'll just end up sweating and looking nasty by the end of a workout...Hence you shower afterwards and dress smartly to garner attention !icon_biggrin.gif

The buzzcut is the way to go. It's always perfect. As soon as I wake up with bedhead, I know it's time to hit the barber.

That's all I do. Helps absorb sweat too! Need to wash often because of that, but I just wear an old ratty ballcap anyway.

I find it funny all the guys saying 'yeah don't worry it's the gym, you go to work out.'
Well you also go grocery shopping, fueling your car etc. Do you not want to be representable then either? Do you not do your hair when running errands?

I do my hair and try to look representable even though I work out hard and go to the gym to work out and not talk. Makes me feel more comfortable. Also head coverings are prohibited at my gym.

Just do your hair, mine only takes 5 minutes. I use american crew fiber.
