    Hi everyone,

I'm 18 and go to the Unversity of California of Irvine. And today at school there was a rally. A hate rally in a sense. There were these two old men, standing with huge posters. One of them had a list of people going to hell and here is that list

    1. The Jewish, the people who killed the lord

    2. Gays/lesbians/bisexuals/transgenders

    3. Mouthy women

    4. Girly men

    5. Muslims

    6. The buddhist.

There was a much longer list but I cant remember. but they were screaming hateful things about everyone that didn't fir the cookiecutter mold of society. It makes me so mad. what would you guys do to stop these guys from coming back??? i feel kinda helpess to stop this.

It sucks, but you can't just have free speech that you like to hear. We give everyone in America the right to voice an opinion even if it's a stupid one. Unless your visiting campus dorks made overt threats, they can continue on.

I say it's good. They only confirm their raving insanity. All the better so people will learn to ignore them.

As long as they aren't actually hurting anyone physically, I'd say they deserve the right to have their say. Frankly, I don't care much for people who stand around/march with signs protesting stuff.

Its deeply disturbing and I'm not sure if its better to simply ignore them (which really is the answer) or be glad they are doing it (as Sedative mentioned above) as it shows the mainstream population how important it it to marginalize these people.

I go to Penn State Univ. and we've got two preachers on different parts of campus who spout hate-speech every single day. They come daily and orate hateful things, argue, and point out anyone "different". It's a shameful practice and disturbing to witness. Surprisingly though, I am not upset at them. Actually, quite the contrary. Student go out of their way to avoid these hate-preachers and most people find their rhetoric very uncomfortable. This just shows me how most people don't agree with the negativity. Or most people see their zealotry and assume it is madness.

If it were a student organization rallying against gays or even a couple students with like-minds, I would be extremely upset and feel threatened. But, knowing that the hate is imported into the community makes me feel better.

Now don't get me wrong. There is still a lot of hate and discrimination towards the LGBTQ community here at Penn State. Arguably, the most hate I've encountered on a "liberal" college campus. Typically, I'm verbally abused for being gay about once a week. And recently, local christian churches held a "Family First" rally here where they denounced homosexuality for about 4 hours with song, speeches, chants, and prayer. Pennsylvania is the most southern state of the north.

Coolguy, at least the hatred is a little more transient. Hopefully those maniacs won't return. But if they do, you might think of writing into a local or school paper and trying to arouse some debate around the issue. Do most people feel these old guys are intolerable? Does anyone think they are actually sane?

    Good luck.

Seeing that they got their list off to a bad start since Jesus and all of his early followers were Jewish, their statement is kind of self defeating. The best thing to do is ignore people like this unless they cross legal boundaries in which you could take them to court. Remember they get joy in knowing they torment you.

Also remember free speech cuts both ways. The more some people talk, the more stupid they look.

I would maybe get a camera and take pictures of them for future laughs.

    cool guy

These Bigots can do that due to our Consitution. Most of the time they are Hypocrits, If you had a counter protest support the equally hate oppression of Christians in China they would lose their minds. Advice if you see them just ignore them .

Why does it make you mad and why do you want to stop it?

Ever hear the expression, "give a man enough rope to hang himself"?

Let these pathetic attention-seeking fools put their mental illness on full display. Why do they do this? Who knows, but it's not the product of a healthy mind.

I think you need to not take this so seriously and instead just get a chuckle out of it. No one else takes this seriously. They're cranks, nutjobs, wackos, morons.

There's no point in expending one bit of mental energy on these types of people.

Oh yes, I know those two guys. They come to Pasadena City College about every 3 to 4 months and do the same thing. Unfortunatly, they do get alot of attention. People shouting back and pouring gas on the fire. Our Gay and Lesbian Student Alliance will stand infront of them in silent protest holding thier rainbow flag. City and campus police will stand to the far sides incase of any violence erupting. I really dont like walking on campus to find this, but I am getting use to it.
The campus officials wont do anything against permitting them on school grounds. They say it would violate thier freedom of speech. I arguee that they are not students so should they be permitted on campus? If I stood there protesting against the corrupt politics of our school and city officals then would I not be escorted away?
When I come to campus I just stay off the quad and go to class or another part of the school to avoid the hate. Its very draining. I would never attend a protest, instead I'm thinking of starting a Peace Rally!

At my alma mater we had groups like these too on campus. None of them were made up of the student body, just a collection of ass holes wanting to go on about something. Counter-protesting was my favorite tactic. When an anti-choice group equated abortion with the holocaust, Jim Crow, and the atomic bomb we made up signs and picketed their asses. It gets the anger out nicely.

If you believe in hell, then you've got problems on many levels.

If you don't, smile and know you're a far better man than someone who'd take the time to actually make a poster with a list of people who are going to hell. But remember to appreciate him for his craft abilities.

They've picked out some monumental baddies.

    1. The Jewish, the people who killed the lord
Ah, finally someone can be given credit for forcing him to resurrect. Before they came along with their whipping, crucifying and lying to Pilate, all Jesus could do was talk, talk, talk, blah, blah, blah, son of god, son of god, when I return, etc. Shit or get off the pot, I say. Good job, Jews!

    2. Gays/lesbians/bisexuals/transgenders
They really can be a problem. So sexy, so tempting, so good with their mouths. It's enough to make a bishop kick in a stained-glass window. Damn it! Bad hands...gotta cut you off. Bad eyes, gotta poke you out!

    3. Mouthy women
So good with their mouths. Mouths are bad, m'kay?

    4. Girly men

Hey, if the preachers can be redundant (number 2, above), so can I.

    5. Muslims
They gave us algebra. I'm very torn on this one.

    6. The buddhist.
So peaceful, so reverent. You mustn't make Christians look bad, because Christians are the religion of peace...everyone knows that.

Alright, Hi there coolguy4192, Maby I can help you understand a little, if you don't already. I trust your have a good head on you.

People Like the ones out side your campus are limited thinkers, Pushed by what a the higher or others think of them. These people more than often have massive personality complexes and problems they fixate on. So to take the focus of their own problems and attidue misalignments, they focus on other people.
This "hate" that you see on campus is there back door to blame others for everything that is happening, and that is happening to them. In essence, though it is rude to state, they are, by all psycologic means, Totatly Incapable of being able to understand a situation and use simple logic to make an analasis.

They have, have dumb them selfs down. Its not that I am being cocky but You must see what I see some? they have no ability of any real empathy. When we look at these people we must look at, there side of the situation.
Many of them have sevear insacuritys and many other issue, abuse, suppression ect. Alone, and in all truth, they are terrable weak and flawed. I can tell you know If you got even one alone, and started to poke the wrong holes, they will break down or become Very defensive.

The only reason they look a sort not to be trifled with is the "numbers" of them that make it hard to Deal with them.

I am not pointing fingers, but certain leaders have allowed and pushed for this behavior. they cultivate it...and sadly the most common place, In a church or with in buldings or clubs of politics.

Sadly we as indaviduals can not deal with this problem due to its size. So we must be the better people and look at it with understanding so that we can take steps to protect ourselfs. You must make sure you take time to stop it from working to the core of you. then they will win... And you become one of them, only with differaint motives.

No side is right, when anger is the dictatoir.

    Hope it helps, lenne.

Argh. I believe in hell, just choose my existence such that I don't create one for myself.

As for people who tell you they can point to a specific individual and say for certain the fate of their soul, well, that's a direct contradiction of biblical teaching.

Its hard to feel helpless on your own campus, i know, its supposed to be your home and a place for growth, every year around this time the UNH college republicans hold 'conservative coming out day' on my campus. i find it to be insulting as it comes from within the college and the use of the term 'coming out' is by definition in relation to issues dealing with sexual identity. its easy to dismiss it because it usually winds up being 5 kids sitting alone at a table in an empty room, laughable. I believe in their right to say what they want, and it is tempting to put up a fight when you know that you are in the right, but do it smartly... do so by being yourself and living the healthy life that the people on this site live, and earn the respect and tolerance that sharing your good life with friends brings, be the individual first and dont use the homosexual liberation ideologys rhetoric, its dated and makes it easy for others to box you in with a stereotype. But that’s just my two cents…

Uhm, tell em to go fk 'em selves and go to class? Seriously, I would be laughing at them if I didn't have enough time to understand how disturbed they were, then I would pity them. Would still tell 'em to fo though. Do a cock thrust, then point and laugh.

It's two depressed guys with posters. It's their problem, not yours. If they get close to some buildings, you could go to the roof and drop some water baloons on them, that would be win. icon_razz.gif

Hey man, don't sweat it. I was a UCI undergrad and those freaks come a few times every year. There's really nothing you can do about it since UCI is a public university, so public property and all that. Sometimes they'll get into arguments with professors and students but it's not too big of a deal if you just ignore them... most of them just want the attention.
