I have been on this website for the better part of three years now. I have during that time built a pile of over 1,000 forum posts within which I have created both friends and "enemies". Actually, I don't consider myself in having any enemies at all, but these three members of Realjock see me, or has seen me as a kind of adversity, even believing that MMTM has activated the "Ignore His Posts" function.

Now I am dead curious with a scenario like this:

The three of them are chatting among themselves in a bar or clubhouse, and I happen to be leaning at the counter, drink in hand, a few feet away. I gaze at them silently, recognising who they are. But so far neither of them had noticed me standing there, watching them.

Then I approach them, and noticing that FierceEyes was without a drink, having already finished his, I approach all three and say,

"Hi, I'm Frank - NotThatOld on the RealJock website. I'm not sure that you know me at all, but I know of all three of you from the Internet. I'm pleased to meet all of you. Drinks are on me if you wish"

The point of this topic is: How would they respond?

Would they talk to me, accepting my offer of a round?

Would they jump with alarm/fright, asking where the hell did I come from and how did I know they were here?

Or quietly walk out of the building, leaving their unfinished drinks standing on the counter?

My opinion is that it would be the 3rd option, the sort of exit taken if this scenario had taken place here in the UK. I believe that over in the USA, things can be rather different.

How would you respond if you came across RJ members, you knowing that they don't like you, face to face in the bar?

BTW, I'm not encouraging any names of members here.

I'd have expected GS to unhinge his jaw, MMTM I'd be expecting a sudden hug from and well, FierceEyes mmm don't really know but I'm assuming there would be glitter involved from his posts!

I'd expect all three to be very friendly and act reasonably...

And if I came across them, it would be awesome to finally meet Adrien and Robby in the flesh... we have a great time! I'm sure Fierce would be much the same.

So not sure what this thread is about.... I would expect them to act as I would.. friendly and open.

My guess is they would welcome you into the group with open arms, and probably offer you a drink, BECAUSE you introduced yourself into their conversation gracefully and respectfully. And if we all did that on the RJ forums, there would be fewer adversaries and posts ignored.

You said you would suspect "the 4th option" after presenting (by my count) 3. Was there one I missed?

I would be skeptical of the offer of free booze. Whats behind you wanting to get me a drink?

Im the one that will either turn you down and send you along your way or have the bouncer escort you out of the club.

I would wave. If they wanted to talk to me, they could. I might say, "Hey! How're ya!?" and then after a very little thing of chit chat, move along. Even if I don't like a person but I know them, I'm cordial.

Yep, a slight error. Thanks, Dayumm, it is now corrected.
