The Situation - If you look up your home town do the range of guys on here represent what your town is really like...

The Question - Is there any difference between the type of guys online and the real world what's you're thought opinion, personal experience????

I haven't really browsed on here at many of the Atlanta guys. But the gay scene in Atlanta is extremely diverse, so I guess it is pretty similar. Maybe I should start searching for Atlanta guys on here because they are SO hot in real life haha.

In South Florida the physical world is much better.
Most of the guys I meet from online are visiting the area.

I'm glad you mentioned this. I feel like the issue more is not just the type of guys you see on here, but how you represent yourself. For instance, in person, I'm very well taken by others and get along great with everyone and I get hit on very often. Unfortunately, I don't enjoy going out to gay bars/clubs often, so I come online. Somehow I don't have the right "lingo" or representation of myself on here, and it's hard to get the attention of guys that I'm interested in.

There is nobody else on RJ within dozens of miles of me.
Possibly none in the same county.

Hot guys like you are more abundant online on RJ than in real life I have experienced here (speaking as a more southerly located aussie)

Not surprisingly, there's even a difference between the online personas of some guys and the way they are in person. At an RJ meetup I had the pleasure of meeting about a dozen members, several of whom were very popular, prolific posters. While I was expecting a real bitchfest or something akin to the Algonquin Round Table without exception everyone was friendlier, more approachable and even more attractive. In short, in person (at least at our initial meeting) we all behaved ourselves!

I make no distinction between online and real time.

With Twitter, Facebook, Grindr and Foursquare on my phone, the line that used to exist between the two is increasingly irrelevant.

    Not representative at all.
Although that could change depending on who is hiding behind the large number of photoless profiles in the region.
