I just destroyed the muscles along my hips. How do I soothe them?

So, I added Ab Ripper from p90x to my weekly routine and a day after the first session, the muscles that run along the front of my hips and down around the top inside of my legs are extremely sore. Nothing serious, just good old fashioned soreness, but wondering a couple things:

-Which muscles are these exactly? I see like three on a chart that run across that region.
-Are there opposing muscles groups I can hit to relieve some of the tension for next time? Does it work that way? It feel like they're pulling my abdomen and upper legs toward each other, but I don't feel any soreness going the other way.
-Other than stretching, are there other recommendations for relieving these muscles until I strengthen them enough for the exercises I've added to my routine?

It's probably one of the adductor muscles (by size probably the magnus is the major one).
So you should use some of the aBductors (i.e. the gluteals).
I'm not a trainer, but I sometimes use the abductor and adductor machines in the gym (use them together).
