Shoulder blade stress while bench pressing!

Lately when I'm using the bench press machine, I feel as if my left shoulder blade is going to snap when I'm putting down the weight. Am I benching in a bad position? Has anyone ever experienced this?

Just had that same feeling today actually. I think it was because I wasn't centered on the bench and beneath the weights properly.

I also get this during/after the bench press (free weight), and also when holding the bar during a squat. But only in one shoulder blade... my right.

Anyone got ideas?

Try squeezing your shoulder blades. You can also use dumbbells instead of the bar to minimize shoulder pain.
