It's a weekend night, i've got the place to myself, and what am i doing? Watching back to back to back episodes of HGTV's (or CBC in canada) "Property Virgins." I love this show. I love the host, sandra, and i love seeing people shop for their first home -- sometimes i shout at the TV at people who have unreasonable expectations and demands such as wanting a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home with a pool, close to the city but not too close and not too loud, but with easy access to highways but not too close to traffic, etc., and they don't want to pay more than $220K.

I also love that since it's filmed mostly in canada that every so often there will be a gay couple on and it's no big deal. and i am learning so much about toronto's neighborhoods and suburbs! ;)

anyone else like the show? and if you're a real estate professional and have seen it, do you think it's realistic or helpful at all for people looking to buy their first home?

Yeah, I like the show too. Back when I had cable, they had a few episodes that were in the States. Not sure if those were new episodes or not. Another similar show is My First Place. I kinda like this one better because it's a bit more in depth in the home buying process. And not every episode has a happy ending.
