Ran 10 miles at the Oaks with the fellas. First 7 we were at around 9 minute pace (since it was pretty rough trail terrain). Last 3 I picked up to 8 minute pace.

I had the most incredible butt massage last Friday from a sports massage therapist. Probably the same problem you're having—tight piriformis, iliotibial band, lots of screwed up connective tissue. We really use our butts when we run.

She gave me three basic tips: stretching, hydration and massage.

Have you tried a myofascial release ball? They're fantastic for grinding out scar tissue and loosening muscles and tendons. Hurt like hell sometimes, so brace yourself. icon_smile.gif
