So you meet a guy on here v hot. He replies, you both get on well he buddy list you, you become mutual buddies blah blah blah.

You IM on MSN and skype for hours 16 hours the first time you talk! then every day for a week you talk online. You both like eachother have loads in common you're talking about arranging a first date then all of sudden - silence nothing hasn't been online and doesn't reply to your emails... nearly 4 weeks now. Talk about hot and cold?

    What do I do...

    Wait or move on?

Am I looking into it too much? Is he just really busy? Is he now just not that into me? Thoughts welcome :-)

    For 4 weeks?

I wouldn't pursue that any moment longer. People that really like each other will find a way to contact each other unless something drastic happened.

Agreed.... move on. If he wants to, he'll hit you back up. You're very attractive, might as well let the next guy in that long-ass line take a shot at you lol.

Yes. Move one. I just recently had one of those on this site. We were supposed to meet when I got back from vacation and he hasn't been on MSN, or on this site since June. Don't put too much faith in online "relationships". If we're interested in meeting, I try to do it asap. If you build up this idea in your head that you have this "thing" with another person online for too long, you set yourself up for disappointment.

I like how people clicked on this thread thinking this was about penis size.

4 weeks is kinda insane to expect anything from this guy. My best guess would be married with kids and his wife was out of town for a week, etc. If you didn't hear back from him in a few days then it's time to move on. There really are a lot of flakes and losers out there, don't be surprised if it happens again. icon_cry.gif

Welcome to the world of online dating, unfortunately. It is ruled by introverts who can at anytime get cold feet about stepping out from behind the keyboard. Throw in a little fear of rejection or intimacy plus GAY.D.D and you get this. It could be because he was secretly in a relationship, or maybe he just felt scared, but there is a chance you won't hear form him for months or more. However, when this happens to me, they usually hit me up again out of the blue and I usually just say, "no longer interested and you know why."

Have you seen him in on cam? Do you have his facebook? Was he tagged by his friends? Something in here is smelling like a fake profile if you haven't seen him in these things I described. If it's just phone, email, texts, but you haven't seen him in cam, or other people proved his existence. He is prob a fake profile

Skype? So did you cam with him?

Sounds like a classic case of "I'm a fake, so I'll lead you on until you start talking about meeting up, then I'll drop you".

I'm not sure that there is anything to move on from when there was nothing there. The glory of hiding behind a computericon_smile.gif

The more they like to chat the greater the possibility they are fakes. At least you weren't dumb enuf to fly cross- country to meet him ( and him not show) Keeping it local reduces fakes to a minimum.

well I am hoping that he isn't dead. I am an eternal optimist so this makes it even harder as I am starting to question my principles! argh!

Well may I be first to offer you the bitter drink.....I use fancy myself as the eternal optimist...But all it was, was naivety.

You sir don't seem the naive type and questioning the principles means its time to solidify them again. You put the foundations up and they've managed to last this long. Why break it over the four week silence....

(In an unlikely scenario of his death, just take to this perspective that he thought were worth chatting with it)
