I ran a 10K race today and beat my goal. I had a great 2 hour session in the sack with a FWB yesterday morning. Do you think a good sex workout the day before a race helps or hurts? Would I have run faster if I had just taken it easy all day and refrained from sex? Would I have run slower if I had missed out on the release of great sex before racing?

That's an really interesting question. From my opinion, I don't think it would, because sex is like a cardio workout and doesn't really work your bonse much, so it wouldn't affect your running.

Unless if you can direct all your lust for sex into your running that day, but that will only tire you out too soon.

I think it's all in the timing. Go all-out in the sack within hours of a race and you might still be not fully recovered in terms of stored energy. (That, and the relaxed post-climactic state might work against you too.) There's something to be said for having tension of any kind built up so that you work all the more at hammering it out.

However, goin' at it 24-48 hours before stepping up to the starting line probably has more of a positive effect overall. You've gotten laid, but the energy stores are replenished and there's less tension than would've been the case if you hadn't shagged (or visited with Mr Palmer.)

It seems to depend on the individual as well.
For me,I prefer to harbour the energy and tension for the race, then release it afterwards icon_biggrin.gif
