It's not possible. I had to let a friend use my computer to do that.

Wow. I assumed it wasn't possible from any mobile device. But I was just able to upload a photo from my Android phone. Strange thing is that both the iOS and Android browser are based on Webkit. What's up with that, Apple? icon_lol.gif

Now my mind is totally made up. I'm getting the new Android in a couple months when it's released (it was a tossup between iPhone and Android).

    Control.
I have an iPhone and plan on changing to an Android phone as well.
I'm done with being subject to Apple's 'nanny state' system and ideals.

Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083

Note: You can import only photo and video content taken with the built-in camera or captured on the device. You cannot import photo or video content synced from iTunes.

I'm pretty sure there's a version of the Opera web browser for iOS. Check itunes. As for Android you can pick..
    - Stock browser
    - Firefox Mobile (heard it kinda sucks though)
    - Dolphin (has a lot of positive reviews)
    - Opera Mobile
    - Misc other web browsers

This is totally lame. Yet another reason why I don't like the itunes ecosystem. I converted a TV show from Windows Media Center to a common MP4 format. I'm able to drag and drop the file to my Galaxy S without any additional transcoding or without having to downconvert to a smaller resolution. So convenient. Plus my phone has built-in support for DLNA, so I can even stream the video to a TV that supports DLNA streaming. Fuck AirPlay.

Other browsers are not allowed to be installed on the iOS platform. What 'browsers' that do exist for the iPhone are dependent on Apple's iOS webkit, it is a violation of Apple's policies to do otherwise. Some apps serve as an interface to the web with content being generated on middle-man type servers that act as a bridge between the iOS device and the rest of the internet Opera Mini is an example of this.

Android can run browsers that are actually built on different web rendering engines like Firefox on Android which uses Gecko like the desktop version.

How about for a jailbroken device?

I might go thru the trouble jailbreaking if a resource for uploading photos exists.
