This guy has amazing lateral head of quad, i dont know how he train to get that, i have as good medial head, but the outer quad is a bit underdeveloped.

I wonder what you need to do to get that really full look?

Start off being really fat, the build muscle while you lose the weight.
...or do massive amounts of steroids.

There are only two ways to get lateral development like your friend.

#1 Be gifted with the genetic propensity for it and do monster leg workouts, especially narrow stance squats and deadlifts.

#2 Not be gifted genetically in that department, do steroids and do monster leg workouts, again focusing on narrow stance squats and deadlifts.

From looking at your pics, I don't think you would fall under #1. You can get some good lateral development without drugs, but it will take years. Also, the lateral head is not one of the first areas to grow. Normally it lags behind the other parts of the quadriceps and hamstrings. Usually when you see profound lateral development, it's from steroid use. (Not saying your friend uses steroids.)

if you havent noticed, his upper body isnt actually all that great, which is rare because people who push hard on the legs generally are hardcore in all their workouts. not the other way round.

I consider myself to have 'good legs'... for a guy my size anyway. And I have to say, it's ALLL GENETIC.

I do squats maybe once every other week or so? It's bad, I need to get back into the habit of working them more frequently. I rowed in College as well for 3 years, so that helps.

But not being a douche, I probably get asked weekly in the gym what I do for my legs... and the honest answer is not a whole damn lot... Sorry to say!

That's not douchey. It's just the truth. I get guys asking me what I do for my calves all the time, but the truth is I do practically nothing.

Agreed not douchy at all. I wish people asked me how I got an awesome body part without me doing any work. All I have going for me is my smile :-(
