Cities with highest number of same-sex couples per 1,000 people
    1. Provincetown, MA: 163.1
    2. Wilton Manors, FL: 139.6
    3. Palm Springs, CA: 115.2
    4. Rehoboth Beach, DE: 106.9
    5. Guerneville, CA: 86.6
    6. West Hollywood, CA: 66.7
    7. Pleasant Ridge, MI: 59.6
    8. New Hope, PA: 58.6
    9. Rancho Mirage, CA: 57.4
    10. Oakland Park, FL: 56.0

Same-sex couples can be misleading to the actual gay population of a city. I know Pleasant Ridge, MI and I think the next door city of Ferndale probably has a higher percentage of gays but is more single.

Keep in mind, also, that many people are still not out enough to answer that question truthfully.

I have such a fabulous busy gay life that I didn't have time to look at the link, but I'm wondering what the statistics are in places where gay marriage is legal, like in Canada and Europe, compared to the USA where the Tea Party types instigate hatred against gays and places where being gay is illegal, like Iran.
