    Yup.
After all the desperate attempts from the Repub party over the past 2 years to blame President Obama for the 2007-2009 Bush recession - the American people still know who's really to blame.

Politico is an extreme left wing publication with a strong liberal bias. I realize there is a strong liberal bias here on REALJOCK, because liberalism has been most friendly on gay issues. And that's because they see gays as people their publication can very well influence and with a good degree of control.

The topic of this thread put aside, TRUTH is never determined by majority vote, which is exactly what Politico is attempting. Even if the poll was somehow accurate on what ALL Americans think on the issue, the vast majority of Americans have very little factual knowledge of the issue, and of most political actions and motives of our politicians, even the ones they vote for. The voting public tends to be ill informed and they float around with the tide and the wind of of mere opinions.

Here is a typical example, from a woman who was polled by the AP=GFK poll"

"I think Bush had a hand in it, too. Obama's not totally responsible," said Mary Parish, 68, of Troy, Tenn. An independent who voted for Republican John McCain in 2008, she said she doesn't believe Obama has what it takes to heal the economy. "He's a smooth-talking man. But he does not know what he's doing."

What does Mary Parish actually know about the causes and effects that has brought the economy to what it is today? Professional economists have trouble figuring that out, accurately. We all have opinions, but they are based on our feelings and biases, and not on any clear true understanding, in this case, of the economy and those who influence it and what their true motives are.

And here is an excellent example of what I wrote, this picture will influence many people to hate GWB without supplying any true factual information, the very role of the late night Comedians, very effective to the average John Q Public, yet it totally lacks truth. The communists in USSR, China, and other countries controlled and oppressed many millions of people merely with slogans and mind control techniques.

It is just as wrong As having a picture of President O'Bama saying:

    "I SCREWED YOU ALL"

"BUT THANKS FOR BLAMING IT ON THE WHITE GUY."

    Nope.
Politico is NOT an extreme left wing publication.
And they merely reported the results of a poll in the OP link.

And FYI the findings of the poll cited in the OP link are echoed in many many other poll results.
Like this recent poll which found that 54% of Americans rightly blame Bush for the Bush recession.

The "voting public" are not the ones who are "ill informed".
It's right-wingers like you who get their "facts" from the lying Fox pro-right-wing propaganda machine who are ill informed.

    Nope.
You are the one who "lacks truth".

It's totally fair and accurate to state that Bush screwed the country but that some people unfairly blame Obama - because the Bush recession began at the end of 2007 - more than a year before Obama took office.
The country got screwed while BUSH was in office.

It would be total bullshit to state that Obama screwed the country but that some people unfairly blame Bush.
The recession hit on Bush's watch - NOT on Obama's watch.

The buck stops on the president's desk.
And when the recession hit - the president sitting at that desk was Bush.

No amount of BS and rewriting of history will ever change that simple TRUTH.

Just to let you know, I have read both of your posts addressed to me.

We simply disagree with each other. I see no virtue in continuing this discussion. In parting, I simply wish you a long, healthy, and happy life.

I certainly wish you - and every human being - a "long, healthy, and happy life".

That doesn't change the fact that what you posted is bogus bullshit.

    Don't think this is personal.
    It's not.
It's a political debate - AND THE FACTS MATTER.

My thinking is that Bush was at fault for jumping into two expenive wars that served little purpose but resource wars and did little good even there, he was also at fault for giving tax cuts to the wealthiest while running up debt to China off the books so to speak. The ne Dept of Homeland security was also a huge money pit.

But lets go back to Clinton and Nafta (sending jobs overseas) and Clinton is the one who initiated a huge blow to Bank Regulations doing away with the Depression era regulations that worked well for us for 60 years.

You can go further back to Reagans trickle up economics and interjecting the Evangelicals into politics, kind of a forrunner to this TBagger bunch we have now. LOL

All during this entire period we've had regulations added on to regulations in every aspect of life that adds costs to everything we do.

Put it all together and the Repubs and Dems share a whole lot of blame, but no one fucked things up worse than Bushes god damn wars and those untimely tax cuts at the same time. His fiasco's started us on a spiral that all the other matters above just add to.

    Thats my two cents.
