I just had my first "boxing" session with my personal trainer. He wears mitts and I have the gloves. I have to "dance" around that do the 4 basic motions.

Boxing is supposed to be a good overall work out and fat burner! Whew! I liked it. I am looking forward to it. It has taken me months to get up to this level of fitness to be able to do this.

    I am so loving this!!!!

Hey, congratulations. Sounds like you had fun. I've tried boxing but I didn't like it because he kept hitting me. icon_sad.gificon_sad.gificon_sad.gif

Very cool Caslon. I did kickboxing in college and actually miss that overall workout everyday. Lots of fun though, glad you enjoy it icon_smile.gif

    Good for you!

Just make sure you slip away from a right hook. My opponent didn't last night and ... yeah ... there's A LOT of blood. Oh well. icon_razz.gif

Fortunately, my personal trainer isn't hitting back. He just holds up (and moves around) mitts that I have to hit at.

I am totally uncoordinated at this time.

And my hands get hot in the gloves ... icon_rolleyes.gif ... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... oh, I crack me up .... icon_lol.gif

    Woo Hoo.... it's working...

I was at the cancer clinic today...havent been there in person in 3 or 4 months. First words out the technician's mouth..."have you been working out?"

Evidently, the posture improvement and muscles are showing ...and I wasnt wearing a tight shirt or trying to look all buff...in fact, I was just trying to get up and walk ...I stiffen up when sitting cuz of all the working out.

Anyway, I am so flattered and pleased to have heard that compliment right off the bat at the clinic.

Ok, it wasnt boxing this time....but you know things are working when your gym shorts fall off while you are jumping rope.

Well, they didnt fall all way the off. I had enough sense to stop before that happened. They are held up by a string. However, it has been so long since I have had to adjust them the knot was too tight to untie and tighten quickly. I had to wait til I got home and could pick the knot loose with my teeth.

And I got another compliment today about how thin I am looking. I dont see it, but I know what I look like with my shirt off ... icon_eek.gif ....I gotta start working on my eating more conscientiously

    My PT is incredible.

Oh here is something I found interesting today. I woke up with sinus drainage and a very sore throat. When I went in for my workout session today, I informed/warned my PT cuz I didnt want to pass anything on to him. He wasnt concerned.

I didnt know what kind of workout I should do, if any. He had me do a much less strenuous workout. And had me concentrate on exercises that would move the lymph around the body. The idea being, of course, that the lymph contains the white blood cells, but the lymphatic system has no heart, and he wanted to get the lymph circulating to fight my head cold/sinus inflammation.
