Who cares? If he can't accept a compliment, he's not worth being with in the first place.

Agreed. I've told guys they're beautiful, handsome, lovely, hunky, whatever. (And never a lie on my part)

Some guys are modest & humble, and that's fine. But I still tell them, so I think it's OK.

I think the term "beautiful" is actually more complimentary than the word "handsome."

I think of beautiful as a gender neutral adjective, so, yes, it's ok to use it for a man.

I use beautiful when referring to a guy who, in my opinion, is physically perfect AND stunning. But most men aren't physically perfect AND stunning, so I'm rarely compelled to use it. I use words like handsome, gorgeous, cute, attractive, good-looking, hot, sexy, etc., more often.

I thought gorgeous is a step-up from beautiful? It's interesting to see the different guys have different perception of the same word.

I think it's fine to call another man beautiful. I usually use "gorgeous" but I see nothing wrong with beautiful.

Gorgeous isn't one of my favorite words. I'm not sure why. I just like the sound of beautiful better.

Yup. I do. I say it when he first wakes up and I shower him with kisses. "You are so beautiful, I love you so much."

What's unnerving about being considered physically perfect and stunning? ;)
