I realize I'm an idiot for not posting this BEFORE I ran the Warrior Dash in Charlotte yesterday, but here goes for the next one in the Dirty Souf (SC, GA, FL, AL mayyyyybe parts of TN).

Does anybody want to get a group together and run one of these? Seems like a good way to meet like minded people, get dirty, drink beer and challenge ourselves. Email me.

Update - just registered for the Tampa Tough Mudder on 4 December. Lets go.

Major props to all those guys capable (and brave enough) to run the Tough Mudders. I'm pretty sure I wouldnt stand a chance of surviving it. A couple (stricon_cool.gif buddies of mine have run a couple, and loved it, but all admitted it was the most physically challenging thing they had ever done.

I'll be running the Spartan Race come July in Pittsburgh. Anyone else? Heard it's suppose to be one of the most intense races of this kind. Was going to do the Run For Your Lives as a zombie, but the spots filled up.

Just did Warrior Dash on 3/31/12 in Lake Elsinore, ca (God, what a shithole of a place) and it was easy. I do obstacle courses all over SoCal whenever they arise; gonna do tough mudder this summer. Not too impressed with Warrior Dash. Did Spartan Sprint in Nov '11; that was more fun.

I did the Tough Mudder in VA last year, and it I did not really enjoy running up and down ski slopes for 4 hours. I'm in it for the obstacles.

On April 14 I'll be doing the Primal Mud Run (one-third the distance) -- should be fun.

Completed Tough Mudder in Tampa and running Tough Mudder in Vermont on May 5th, 2012.

Cant wait for the ski slopes!!

If there are other guys in the Boston or Providence area who want to team up for Tough Mudder or other mud races. I would be more than willing to team up and train together.

    Take Care

Signed up today for Tough Mudder New England #2 on July 15. Going with seven other people from my gym, including my trainer. I may be the oldest in the group by about 15 years, but I will make this happen.

Completed the New England TM this weekend. Totally worthwhile, even though I faceplanted on the final electroshock obstacle and needed stitches in my brow and mouth.

    Highly recommended.

It's completely worth it. Are you part of a team? Big advantages to going with at least a couple of people.

But the sense of accomplishment is a great high.

I did the Tough Mudder in Austin last October with my former co-workers. It was hellish but an excellent team-building exercise. However I think I want to run it on my own next time.

I'm gonna do the Electric Run 5K soon. It's not that challenging - it's more of a run for club kids which is perfect for me.
