Sick and Nauseous from Whey?

After a good workout today, I came home feeling great, made a shake, and chugged it like I usually do. About 10 minutes after, I started feeling EXTREMELY sick, as though I had caught the flu or a stomach bug. It's absolutely killing me, and I feel horrible. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I can't tell if I'm getting sick or if I'm only feeling sick because I drank it too quickly or if I'm having some strange reaction.

(I've been consuming whey very regularly for a while now, and have never had any issues with it. I know I'm not allergic to it.)

And of course, I don't have any pepto in my place, and can hardly stand up to go to the store. icon_redface.gificon_sad.gif

    Hope you feel better.
Sounds totally unrelated to the whey. The gym is a 'great' place to contact various bugs- touching the equipment and then ones' own mouth, nose, eyes. Hand washing is always a very important preventative measure, as is not touching ones mouth, nose and eyes.

Yeah, it started happening to me. How do you make your shake? I found that all of a sudden I couldn't take my usual whole milk which is what I put in it. Didn't matter if it was a brand new jug or not. I've switched to 1% or 2% milk and don't have the feeling anymore but I haven't had any whey since then either. I eat enough protein as it is anyway.

Something like that usually happens to me when I haven't had something in a long time or just get a random lactose intolerance attack.

Did you eat or drink anything else out of the ordinary?
