Are you Canadian? Do you not get sarcasm? The irony is that from everything you've posted about her, the fool you attempt to paint her out to be seems far smarter and calculating than the fool you appear to be. From your own article -

"Washington, D.C., you'd think by now they'd get the message. An earthquake, a hurricane. Are you listening? The American people have done everything they can, and now it's time for an act of God and we're getting it," she said, drawing some laughs from her audience.

"Of course she was saying it in jest," Alice Stewart, spokesperson for Bachmann's campaign, said.

Even if she was saying it in jest, it was kind of a stupid thing for a candidate to say. Even things a candidate says "in jest" are twisted and turned against them. If she doesn't know that yet, she had better get a clue quick...though, admittedly, not sure she ever will, nor do I care. She needs to just go away...far far away

I think the only people who really take her seriously are the media - and that's for their own calculating reasons. I think that when people actually pay attention, she doesn't seem so unreasonable on a wide variety of issues though she has plenty of crazy in her personal life. With Perry in the race she isn't much of a viable candidate.

This is some of the greatest display of mind bendingly incredible mental gymnastics to fit a narrow minded ideology I have EVER seen in my life. This from the guy who jumped on Biden for saying he could "understand" one of china's positions.

I applaud you, because I can't imagine the amount of backbreaking work it takes to stay so incredibly ignorant.

Sorry your mind bending levels of ignorance that you put on display on a daily basis, make it hardly remarkable anymore and terribly uncharitable to point out. Oh, I'm sorry, you had a whole two years of study in sociology so that must make you an expert.

Perry isn't a viable candidate either. Once his record receives more scrutiny, people watch him stick his foot in his mouth a time or two, and he backtracks on a few more issues, he is toast. His style of "over the top" Texas politics and cowboyisms won't translate outside of the south.

Note that he has just recently compared social security to a ponzi scheme. He's right by definition - but I imagine this bothers you terribly.

Two years, and I continue to read studies and have friends in the field. I am by no means an expert but I stay up to date on the latest ins and outs as it's a subject that I really do love.

I'm glad you've found something you're passionate about - hopefully you can also find a way to be productive in society. Your level of logic however is simply disappointing which is only eclipsed by your continued attempts to blame others for what some should be taking at least some responsibility for themselves - including yourself.

Where have you and the other conservatives gotten this idea that I'm some lazy lay about that has no skills and does nothing with his life? Are you giving into the stereotypes that all black man are lazy or are you making fun of my health?

And whats with this idea that I don't take responsibility for anything?

Always playing the victim. Your posts are so predictable. This has nothing to do with your being black or anything to do with your health. It has to do with you.

LMAO, wow how exactly am I playing the victim here? I asked you to explain yourself and you cant. In fact you are reverting into circular logic. I'm apparently lazy and a victim with no skills who fails at everything simply because I'm lazy and a victim with no skills who fails at everything.

You can't explain your position, you cant't give proof so I am forced to fill in the blanks for you. If you don't like being called out on your obvious racism (or disdain for people with health issues) you should just explain your reasoning behind your statements.

Well, she's right. In one of two ways (you pick):

    1) Irene is God's warning to a nation so stupid and biggoted that they elect someone like Bachmann, or

    2) Irene is God's way of punishing us for ignoring climate change and voting of anti-science climate change deniers.

Too bad that racism card is wearing a bit thin for you. That's all you can fall back on in your attempts to attack others. Given your volume of posts where everything somehow leads back to race, you're not worth my time - others can go through your posting history and be bored themselves.

Disregard cheap shots from the peanut gallery, as we used to call their kind. I, for one, enjoy your shots, and don't find them cheap at all. You're one of my favorite posters in the forums. (That, of course, will earn you all kinds of flak from the right-wing haters here)

And you do notice how they can rarely be positive & helpful on this site, always negative and hateful?

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” (Matthew 7:15-19)

So don't be bothered. You are admired by more here than me. And being dissed by some is not a shame or a concern, but rather a badge of honor. icon_biggrin.gif

Oh trust me I don't, I just think it's funny that when challenged to give their reasoning behind such comments they typically stop posting, claim to not respond to you anymore, or keep going in circles.

Riddler, all you have to do is point out your reasoning behind your comments, that's IT. Maybe if I understood your reasoning I wouldn't view you as an ignoramus who borderlines on having the emotional IQ of a sociopath.

I totally agree. What'ya bet his so-called luster wears off by the end of next month -- especially if anyone else gets in the race to steal his thunder. This is one election that will not be bought with Texas money.
