Why do you think this is so?

In my case it's because I pay a huge amount in Federal income taxes (and not just once a year, but every 3 months) and I keep hearing from Washington DC that "it's not enough, I'm not paying my fair share" when 50% of the households in the country pay ZERO Federal income taxes.

And if that wasn't bad enough, the one time I actually take advantage of the "good services" of the Federal government in an attempt to hire a temporary foreign employee, our candidate is treated like scum by the US Customs and Immigration Service. Our candidate (a Hungarian) has never even had a parking ticket in his life, has never overstayed a visit to the USA and yet they have him in "Administrative Processing" since February of this year.

As the employer, one would think I would be entitled to an explanation from our good public servants but nope. They refuse to answer any emails for status updates until it's been 3 months since "Administrative Processing" has begun. And, once they can no longer hide behind that shield, when we email them specific questions, such as, "It's been 6 months, he is still in Administrative Processing and you have still not approved the visa, what is the cause of the delay?" you get back an, "We are sorry for the delay, the applicant is undergoing Administrative Processing."

    Like, duh!

These people who work in USCIS are truly sadistic SOBs. They know they can't be fired, they know that there is no way for the American public to even place a phone call to them and they know that there is absolutely zero accountability in the "system."

In the meantime, employers such as us are left hanging and literally hundreds of thousands of poor foreigners are left with their life in limbo.

So that's two reasons why I absolutely despise the Federal government of the United States.

And then they want to take over our health care? HUGE DISASTER IN THE MAKING!
