Just be careful with photogs. Make sure you're going to someone who's actually talented and has a vision in line with yours, not just what's known as a GWC (guy with cam). There are A LOT of guys out there trying to just take advantage of peoples' desire to be models.

Personally, I would be wary of one trying to tell you to change your body right off the bat. If the photog wants to photograph you and really has a vision for you in particular, then he most likely will take you as you are. Little things like don't eat a lot beforehand if you don't want a bulging stomach, etc... are expected. But not really "build up in 6 weeks."

First paragraph: GWC, not GWM. And the rest is on point.

Second paragraph: On point again, except for the "build up in 6 weeks." If a guy has the facial look I need for a project, but his body is slightly different from my vision, I'll tell him what shape I'd like him to be in for the shoot, and schedule accordingly. In fact, I've got three shoots setup next month, and all three guys are leaning out just for those shoots...as am I, because one of the shoots is a duo self-portrait (the model and me - worked with him many times before, since early 2008.)

Oh yeah, and as a model, I posed for a well known photographer on South Beach last year. All we got was a headshot. As for my body, he told me to call him in two years when I'm more ripped. icon_lol.gif (and yes, he's legit about it, and stays in contact)

    You're welcome. icon_biggrin.gif
Then again, GWM could mean Guy With Money. Those are the ones I like to pose for, even if their work is shitty and they're just wanting to see me nekkid. icon_cool.gif

Squats, deads, bench press, rows, military press, pushups, a multitude of crunches, planks

Forget about trying to isolate (except for the crunches) go with as many compound lifts as you can do safetly and start doing them.

And most importantly, dehydrate...remove salt from your diet, and drink only enough water/liquids to stay healthy.

No matter how lean you get, retaining water will make you look soft in pictures.
