This is the leap forward they've been needing to implement a chip that WILL replace vision.
The new technology has begun. icon_cool.gif

You don't watch many documentaries, do you? icon_wink.gif

They've already got the technology that can send light signals to the region of the brain that interprets what the eye sees. The only problem is size; and now that nanotechnology is becoming more advanced, it's only a matter of time before blind people can see just as good - if not better - than the average person.

On top of that, nanotechnology will allow contact lenses to be just like a HUD (heads up display) so we can surf the internet, watch videos, etc. etc. etc. without even having to use a keyboard.

This guy's video-eyeball is exactly what they needed to put this new sci-fi technology to work in a real-world environment. Now they can build on that to finish the other technologies they've been trying to construct.

If the new Deus Ex is any indicator ill pass... at least until we jump from mech-augmentation to nano-augs.
