Help with Craigslist

    Guys,

Driven by the lack of company, I posted ad on Craigslist for first time and got a few replies. I was wondering if there is something that I should be careful about while meeting guys from Craigslist.

Apart from the usual, "guy not looking the way they said they looked" are there any words of caution that you might have? In the end I just don't want to get in trouble through all this.

    Thanks a lot icon_smile.gif

Dont use craigslist, thats my advice.

There was this story a guy told me that he used CL to hook up, had a guy come over, they screwed, everything was cool, then 6 months later the guy came back high on coke wanting to fuck again and made so much noise the cops got called.

    Yes, dont use CL.

Never meet without his phone number. Have him call or text you before meeting.

Call too, also some guys on the internet call from a blocked number, which is weird.

"I want to have sex with you but you cant have my phone #"

    yea ok loser.

If he does that it is a MAJOR red flag.

Same advice for all hookups: meet in public first.

Most guys who use craigslist to hook up also will use other more 'respectable' sites/apps to do so. They may use different pictures, but don't be fooled...

Grindr limits it to guys who have iPhones or iPods, which I convince myself is a good thing.

Agreed, I refuse to date someone without an iPhone.

Android has Grindr. Nearly 42% of people with smartphones in the US have an Android, so man, you are shutting out a lot of people! icon_confused.gif

    Everything.

Make sure you meet in public first. Study him and see if is someone worthy of taken back to your place.

Thanks a lot guys, now I am kind of scared icon_confused.gif
I was going on blind faith that everyone should be good and wouldn't rob me or naything, but would definitely be extra careful now. I was anyway planning to meet in a cafe of something, but won't hesitate to back out if I don't feel right.

Thanks a lot again, you guys are life savers icon_smile.gif

I think doing a C2C is good, see if he matches his pics. Make him host or get a room. Keep all your cloths in plain sight. My buddy lives in the cities and told me he hears lots of times guys hookup and a few days later the host guys apt gets burglarized and shit ripped off. Just be real carefull icon_wink.gif
