    The only way to overcome a mental obstacle is to put one foot in front of the other in order to gain some momentum toward your goal. Even if you think it's going to kill you it's nowhere near as hard or bad as you think it is once you get going

    Try a week of clean eating, and you'll see you're less tempted to gorge, and you'll find that if you return to processed crap, you'll feel terrible. Whole foods naturally signal your body when it's had enough thus you're less inclined to overeat. Make a specific list, set a budget and only take cash with you to the grocery store. The only way not to eat crap is to not have it around. What most of the golden boys on this site won't tell you is that if they kept a bunch of cookies, ice cream, and chips in the house, they wouldn't have the bodies they'd do.

    There are tons of sites out there for tracking your progress. Myfitnesspal.com is a good one, there are forums you can go to for support, or advice and it lays it out how much you should be eating daily complete with analyses once you've completed your entry. That helps a lot psychologically because it makes your progress seem more tangible.
