My opinion is we should not post in the threads that are obviously flame baiting from the left. You know the obvious ones - the all caps threads, the x things to annoy Republicans, and the like. I say let them high five each other, don't give them the time of day or satisfaction, and respond only to the more serious threads created by some of the guys you can respect.

Well some of them are just obviously so dumb they aren't worth rebutting. It's just like: icon_rolleyes.gif

Yup - I've started completely ignoring some threads and only quickly scanning others. There are some guys on the left who have useful things to say, and by ignoring and not responding to the chaff, we can focus more on the wheat.

Ok ok ok here's the thing you REFUSE to admit or understand. Did you know that you can be a 'democrat' or 'independent' AND a "fiscal conservative"? I didnt think so. Its that obvious. continue to play your game of labels.. Just goes to show how shallow a thinker you are and your end game.

In terms of shallow thinking, you and a few of your cohorts are in a category of your own. But I do agree on the difficulty of using labels because they can be interpreted differently by some, and they often are relative. I think my definition in this case was obvious, especially in a thread that was definitely not directed to you.

Just to be clear, I agree that there are Democrats and Independents who I consider fiscally conservative. Those Democrats, especially those labeled as blue dogs, are not calling the shots in the Democratic Party. The ones who are, Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, and Van Hollen, for example, I do not consider as fiscal conservatives. Some even further left may disagree, but as I said, it's relative.

I think both the target audience I intended for this thread, as well as those I suggest avoiding are quite clear. Using labels is a reasonable substitute for listing names, which I don't think would be proper.

You poor devil socal, your arrogance is getting more and more like LIL'AIPAC (Ceaserea4) every day. Happy in your bliss of always being right while ignoring the ignorant underlings who have the misfortune of disagreeing with you.

Must be an interesting existence up on that 'conservative' pedastal above the fray. Any TBAGGERS up there with ya? LOL !!!! OOOPS !! THERE GOES THOSE DAMN CAPS AGAIN !!!

Wrong again. I read and communicate with a number of folks who have very different opinions, including emails with guys on RJ. I chose the caliber of folks I communicate with, and they obviously do the same. I don't consider it elitism - I simply avoid the bomb throwers.

Interesting post......Sounds like an instruction manual.
I guess the other grown men here on RJ cant think for themselves, and u feel the need to circle the wagons to provide optimal protection from some perceived attack??

Here is my suggestion for socal: grow a thicker skin, stop playing the role of victim, and/or use the ignore function

They can all think for themselves. I'm just offering my opinion. And I am certainly no victim. Not by a long shot. If anything, I feel pity towards some. I generally don't use the ignore function. I just ignore those who should be ignored. Simple as that.
