    The premise is fantastic.

    The execution isn't.

Not horrible, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Most Rotten Tomatoes interviews slam it.

Wondering what others thought. . .

Well, it was done like a fake documentary. . . lost "video" archives of a secret Apollo mission

    So, yes, sorta cheesy

ok...all those little rocks on the ground on the lunar surface? Those little rocks turn into these SPACE SPIDERS. You never get a super clear shot, but basically.

I saw the movie online. I feel bad for anyone who paid money to see this. SPACE BLAIR WITCH. With enough shaky, gritty choppy camera takes to give you a migraine. I did appreciate the concept of spinning the romanticism of the US love affair with Lunar Landing Americana into a horror flick.

    I can't see anything^!

The absence of visual evidence aside, parasitic moon spiders invading some guy's spacesuit seems like my cup of tea when it comes to body horror genres . . . but the more I read viewer's verdict from online sources (and you guys), the more I feel reluctant to watch Apollo 18 in the cinemas icon_sad.gif

Oh I didn't post an image (and honestly there isn't a single clear screencap of what they look like, just half second cut scenes where they zoom by, or you just see part of a shadow or a silhouette), I left the perfunctory space you leave when you announce a spoiler so people can opt not to read further. And then I just sighed before announcing it. I don't regret watching it (online, for free, while in bed, while surfing ebay), it's actually kind of a unique, interesting film. I would have been pissed had I paid money to see it, though.

I have a feeling there was a reason behind the pre-release "gag order" on people viewing/reviewing the movie. I'll probably elect to see it nonetheless. I enjoyed Cloverfield while a majority of people hated it, so I may like this just as well.
