Update 9/7/2011: I submitted the photos I took to the local newspaper and here's the full story. If you click on a photo you will see my name as photo credit above it. I'm a citizen ireporter, hehe.

Woke up this morning to find out a 19-yo-kid going around 90 mph jumped the curb at the parking lot in front of my building and hit three cars. This happened at 4 am and I didn't hear a thing. Apparently everyone else did. I mean, he really tore everything up. Going to go take some better pictures down there but here are a few. I drew a dotted line on where he drove. No one was hurt. He's in jail now.

This is the first car he hit, turning it 90 degrees

Second car he hit after going across grass. You can see all the dirt he took with him.

hahah i only sleep 5 hours so my body almost goes into coma to get whatever rest it can get. i've slept through fire alarms and a smoke filled apartment when my drunk roommate decided to cook eggs at 3am and left them on high all night while he passed out. needless to say the egg was basically charcoal. the only thing that can keep me up is cuddling with a hot guy where i keep waking up to give him a kiss or just holding him closer haha

Start getting 8 hours a night. It will make a big difference when you get older. :^)

This reminds me of the Dane Cook "Car Accident" skit. The pertinent part starts at 3:50.

If it makes you feel any better I slept through a domestic dispute, fire and arrest of a neighbour who was about 20 feet from the front door of my trailer while I was in a camp. I woke up to find the camper had been torched purposely by the wife when the husband went to call the police after a domestic dispute. Camper burned to the ground, but the fire engine, ambulance and police all arrived with sirens blaring and I slept through it in preparation for another shift in the mine... Sounds to me like you must have been tired.

I've gotten to the point where I'm keeping uninsured, underinsured, and comprehensive coverage on my policy. No matter how safe you drive, there's always some idiot around the corner.

People drive like idiots. I've been hit 2 times in the past year and a half.

BTW, Vic...thanks for scaring the hell out us... the title sounds like it might have been YOU involved in a car accident....

Interesting, I noticed on his Facebook page that his brother posted to call him "to discuss family matters" the evening before the accident around 8 pm. The accident (or him speeding and drunk) happened 5 hours later.

His brother then posted "I love you".

OK, enough of that. Glad no one was hurt.

My roommate's such a joker when I told him it may be in the print edition tomorrow.

He emailed, "Woo-hoo! You are on your way! Get an extra copy, and I'll scan it and print it on Foam-core for you."

I emailed back "Can you laminate it too!"

Umm no actually, I'd much rather drive my jetta or ride my bike icon_smile.gif

They only got a less than 200$ fine? wow. I guess the RCMP has to enforce differing versions of the highway traffic act of each province. I just would have figured that given RCMP members have been killed by street racers in Vancouver, that there would be a get tough attitude there. Whereas Saskatchewan, with the most roads and fewer officers would seem to have a laxer attitude. But the reverse is true. Those kids would be out a license, facing speeding, dangerous driving, and street racing charges = Jail time, if they did that here. No respect for street racers here, seen too many accidents. They call them race tracks for a reason. It's funny because the fine they got is less than a cell phone ticket is here, even without the mandatory -4 points and ensuing insurance fine.

I wish i could buy a Lambo at 18. Also, i wouldn't have stopped. if one is getting pulled, why would everyone stop. 1-2 cruisers for 13 cars...hmmm do the math.

Finally, 200kmh? hahahhahhahahahahahahahhaha! Any one of those cars hits 300km/h easy.... a crown vic tops out at 220... just saying

No, you must make it into a video, with a spinning front page and some hectic trumpet music as the opener!
