Posting "relationship only" in looking for sections

I've noticed that after I've made it completely clear my homo profiles that I have no interest in hooking up and no interest in friends or fwb and only am looking for simple dates to see whether there's any potential for a relationship...

    People seem less interested.

One guy went so far as to say (I'm paraphrasing): "I think you're damn sexy and want to meet you for a date, but I'm not looking to jump into a relationship, so it's probably not a good idea."

Well, I'm not looking to jump into anything either. I just don't want to hook up. And I just don't want to meet guys who are only interested in hooking up or fwb.

And then I started to notice that almost ALL of the profiles in my area exclude "dating" and "relationships."

Can it be that guys have ZERO interest in the potential for relationships? They only want to hook up?

It depends where you're looking. Some "homo profile" sites/apps are primarily for hook ups. The guys looking for dates there are few and far between.

I've often found that people completely ignore that section of a persons profile on most sites anyway (not so much here on RJ).

Most of the time I'll ignore the messages that people send me if they're just asking to hookup but sometimes I've asked them if they even read my profile. The response I normally get is 'well I did read that you were looking for a relationship but I still thought i'd try it'. I guess it only takes a second to delete a message but it gets annoying sometimes.
