"Don't hurt yourself" or "No pain, no gain"

    I thought if you work out, if it doesnt hurt, you're not doing it right....

    There are different kinds of pain. There's the pain of exerting your body and then there is the pain of injuring your body. You don't want to damage your body for obvious reasons but not challenging your body will prevent growth.

    Basically, do the exercise right and it's the right "pain". Do it wrong and it's the wrong pain, the kind that will break your body and prevent you from lifting.
