I know this isn't very popular in the USA, but the Canadians, British, and others on here?

As for me, I'm gonna be rooting for Georgia on the weekend days that they play at a not completely ungodly hour. They're in pool B which is a very strong group but if they can get past England and Argentina they'll have a good shot.

Anybody else watching? And who you're rooting for?

I'm rooting for the US team to actually win a match or two!

Beyond that, I like Australia, but only because I enjoy aggressive flankers.

Heading over to watch the (recorded) New Zealand-Tonga match. All I know so far is that the crowd really, really enjoyed Sonny Bill Williams's on-field jersey change.

It was on in the US this afternoon. icon_twisted.gif Haha. But that was a great game. My mom and I watched it and she was commenting on their long hair, thick thighs and white uniforms, meanwhile I was watching the action and noticing how each player could model.

And that is why my mom and I are close. icon_lol.gif

yeah, watched it yesterday with my fellow rugby teammates at a bar. Besides the Debbie Downer half hour with the ASPCA, tribute to Mark Bingham, and UNICEF, it was a good time.

I wish ESPN would talk about it and/or start showing the games, because outside of NBC most of the games that are televised are on Universal Sports.

Yes!! Tho the ungodly hours the matches are on in NYC is problematic - did last long enough to be in my local Irish pub Sunday morning at 2AM to watch Ireland v USA. School nights, going to have to watch the replays on line - so don't give away any results! icon_biggrin.gif

I am still KICKING myself for missing the Canada-Tonga game the other night (1h00 EDT). It was like our fifth or sixth World Cup win EVER, and by all accounts an exciting game...

Loving the fact that the minnows can cause an upset. Also loving Bismarck Du Plessis...

The time the matches have been on is killing me! Beyond that, I'm just jealous of my mates who are in NZ for the Cup icon_sad.gif

Delighted with the results coming out of the pool stage - the four quarter finals look to be damn good - especially Boks v Wallabies.

Over the moon Ireland finished top of the Pool C - bring on Wales - the battle of the Celts!

Have to say, even though the matches are on at ungodly hours here, the atmosphere in the pubs watching have been brilliant.
