the only gay resorts I know are the atlantis resorts on cancun and Puerta villarta. the only place I know where you can go for a weekend is the hotels that are also bath houses. But that only includes STDs.

Since I work in the travel industry, there are several good possibilites in the Cancun area. Many all inclusives there are adults only and if you are traveling solo, I suggest any of the Palace Resorts.

    Here is a link:

    http://www.funjet.com/specials/palace-sale.asp?xmlFile=palace-sale&OAC=XXX&plCode=

I sell the Funjet Vacations brand (among several) and there are good choices there.

And...in speaking with the marketing people from Sandals recently, the resort in Antigua is gay friendly if you are traveling with a BF or husband. Just don't even think about going to Jamaica. Not only do they hate gay men and women there, goats run loose in the streets and you don't have to look hard to find people sadly living in poverty.

Not necessarily an all-inclusive resort, but Curacao has some good 'write-ups' recently about being gay friendly.

Ask GreenHopper, the resident RJ Curacao expert!

Puerto Vallarta in Mexico has some all-inclusive gay-centric resorts and hotels. I spent roughly 12 days there 3 months ago just to get away and not to find m2m action (don't go if you're looking to meet masculine and muscular/beefy Mexican gay guys because they're almost nonexistent there ((not a dig, just an observation on my part)). Le Marais in Paris, France, is also a great place to visit--again not to hook up with gay guys but to appreciate the sights and sounds of gay Paris (lots of museums and architectural wonders, e.g., Musee Picasso) . I'm going to Paris in the next several weeks and I plan to spend several days in Marais. If you're looking for m2m action outside the U.S., go to Germany (Berlin, Hamburg, etc.), England (London), or Montreal, Quebec (Canada). In the U.S., my friends tell me that Island House in Key West, FL is good but I have no personal knowledge. Good luck.

All-inclusives can be fun - but they are always expensive and run a high risk of sucking. I've been to several with friends, and while I had fun I wouldn't recommend any of them particularly. You may find some that are somewhat comfortable for gay folks but are unlikely to find much "fun" unless you just happen to run into a really compatible guy or group of guys, or go during a time when someone like Atlantis has bought out the resort.

Just across the street from the Island House is http://www.alexanderskeywest.com/archive/index.html
A wonderful gay/lesbian/str8 resort at reasonable prices, far enough from Duval Street for quietness, yet close enough to walk to everything, including Pepe's Cafe and B O's Fish Shack!
And if you get the urge for debauchery, Island House is just across the street, up on the corner! icon_twisted.gif

I have rarely come across an amazing gay resort. They are usually really cheezie and not the best quality. For that reason and many others I wasn't into it. I find this happens at gay owned restaraunts too!!

If your considering Palm Springs, check out the Hacienda in warm sands. Very nice, clean, nicely lade out. It's clothing optional but not in seedy hook up sex resort way.

My favorite which seems to be more mixed because it is Palm Springs is The Parker and The Ace Hotel. The Ace is really hip and much younger crowd with a dj that spins on Saturday's
