I'm attending 2 weddings this month, the first today in Mendocino. Both are incredible couples, I'm simply overjoyed with excitement for them.

Currently, I'm single. I'm here at the wedding without a date and I'm actually not bothered. I know that I wanna share my life with someone and I'm confident that the right guy is going to find me one day.

I know during the wedding I will be thinking about what he will look like, how tall he will be, His mannerisms, what he'll smell like in the morning, what his voice sounds like, what that little thing is that he does that annoys the shit out of you, but you wouldnt change for the world, and so on? I get excited just thinking about him and I haven't even met him yet.....

If you think you're going to meet the one someday, what's the one feature or trait that you are most excited to discover?

I've always had the delusion that I'd go away on vacation and meet my undeniable soulmate, then the fantasy would have to end as I returned to normal life.

    That has yet to happen.

As for meeting someone at a wedding, it'd be pretty sick to dance with another guyicon_smile.gif

I had the exact feeling a couple of days before my sister's wedding. and turned out, I met a very cute guy. We almost got it going, too bad the family was there. too many of them. He flied back to CA the next day. We had fun figure each other out and eyes bang each other and flirting. It was fun.

anyway good luck ! keep us posted

My dating philosophy is not based so much in the idea that there is someone out there who is "the one" but instead in the idea that there are probably a bunch of compatible people in the world and I'm hoping to cross paths with one of them. There was a movie some years ago called the Zero Effect, and the main character said something to the effect of: if you go looking to find a specific thing your chances are finding it are very low, but if you go out looking for anything, then your chances of finding it are very high. I'm not suggesting that we shouldn't have standards but rather that we should be prepared to jettison our preconceived notions of how things will work out.

The way he smiles at me in the morning and tells me that he loves me while he's holding me in bed.

I'd like to think that I would one day meet a thoughtful, laid back, fit, and loyal guy who'd be into me so much that he'd never want to let me go. However, the scars from years of verbal abuse and rampant cheating by my ex have left me with little self-esteem, something that's hard to overcome and that guys don't find particularly attractive. icon_neutral.gif

Unfortunatly I tend to get really angry when I'm sad.
So I'm hoping to find a guy who knowes me well enough to just hug me instead of being mad at me.

Awwwwww love this and would add for me that I like it when a guy is also not afraid to vocalize the same sentiment that his eyes express :-)

The trait I look forward to enjoying in my future partner is his Compassion and Thoughtfulness to me, as well as others around him.
