When to take whey protein

    So Im just getting into the whole working out thing and I really want to build muscle with he help of whey protein. Im not looking to over do it, so when is the best time to drink whey before or after a workout?

    Right after. Have some carbs with it too.

    No doubt protein is key after working out to help recovery and mass building. The best way to take protein, is up to 20 g within 30 minutes of the workout, then another 20 g two hours later. Human studies have shown this to be optimal for the body as anything above 20 g is just passed through as waste since the body cannot process more, hence waiting 2 hours for the next serving.

    i take whey first thing in the morning, usually around lunchtime, def. after a workout like everyone else said. And i take casein protein before i go to sleep at night.
