    So if you could only pick five exercises to do, which would you choose?

    Me? I'd pick deadlifts, squats, bent over rows, bench press, and shoulder press.

    same as the OP, except replace bent over rows with pullups

    Love pull ups too. I might switch out the bent overs too in order to get a vertical movement in there.

    Barbell Squat, Clean and Press, Dumbbell Bench Press, Pullup, 45 degree shoulder fly.

    The last one may seem random to most people, but honestly nothing has added more visual shape to my torso than building up the traps/shoulders. It's one of the first places the eye goes after the face to determine a body's shape.

    leg press, shoulder flies, chest flies, French curls (tricep) and Preachers Bench for biceps


    And "Brunch Sqauts" if I have a partner.....

    Pretty much the same but I'd do pendlay rows instead of regular bent over rows.
