So I think cruising at the gym is fine and even in the locker room and wet areas if it's done discreetly, but some of the guys at my gym are out of control! I have zero issues with nudity, but when a dude stares a hole through you as you're trying to towel off, it really makes me uncomfortable. In many ways, I feel molested. It's getting to the point lately where I drive home without showering if I see certain trolls there. Some of the straight guys actually leave their towel on while they put their pants on because they feel so violated.

Is it just here or do you have guys at your gym who have no cruising limits? How do you handle them?

That may tend to happen often, you got your "beards" where at the gym guys may play on there desires of seeing a naked man a few feet from them. I honestly have no problem being checked out, but dont be so forceful. I find kindness and honesty more of a turn-on than being slutty and annoying (being totally truthful, a 50 yr old guy got me to play with him once just by being nice).

What are "beards?" Is this a gay term I'm not aware of?

Well I heard it off a TV show and I may be using it out of context but the term usually refers to a gay man and lesbian that would either date or marry each other to put on the guise that they are straight.

Yeppers! And to be honest I would be eyeing you in the shower, lol. But not raping you with my eyes. ^_*

I've never had the experience, but calling someone out on their behavior in a non-abusive way may do the trick. Something like "Excuse me, did you have a question or need something? Because you're staring is making me uncomfortable."

I don't cruise at gyms. I might catch a glimpse because someone is putting it all out there but I certainly don't go out of my way to look at folks and I certainly don't give people enough of me to be cruised so it doesn't really phase me at all.

The one's that seem the most annoying are the one's who specifically just come just to do that and they make it pretty obvious.

Everyone likes to look, even straight guys but its the hardcore cruisers that piss me off. I used to love sitting in the jacuzzi after a leg workout but I know if certain guys are there to not go in.

Ill jump in the shower, throw on my clothes & get the hell outta there.

It's one thing to get checked out. But looking into shower doors and peeping at you for extended periods is over the top. When it happens to me I usually just say to them, "Is everything ok man?" And then give them a stern look. I actually had my boxerbriefs stolen twice! Grrrrr.....

At my 24 Hour Fitness we have tons of "lookers". Every time I walk in I don't look at anyone except the floor, the locker or the TV. If the locker room is full I just leave just out of respect.

At the LA Fitness I frequent the most it's a similar story but they are more reserve when they're cruising. They just don't rape you with their eyes. Now, If I go to another LAF location which is near Downtown it's the same story as 24.

I don't mind when they look. I'm just not gonna give the show they are hoping to see. What I find upsetting is when they stare at you the whole time. It makes anyone (Straight, Bi or Gay) uncomfortable.

I'm embarrassed for gaydom by some of the over the top behavior...even though straight guys look too. There's a not so fine line.

Generally I feel it's disrespectful of someone's privacy, especially if they are uncomfortably modest. For the much less inhibited, I guess they're fair game for eye candy.

Gay on Gay is ok by me. I can see it both ways for straight guys perspective though. Either enjoying the admiration or feeling very uncomfortable that their apparent orientation is ambivalent enough to attract attention.

This is so, so, rarely even noteworthy at my chain though. The showers are private. The only overt behavior is the ubiquitous old guy that never leaves the locker room. Don't try to chat me up, or make comments about me, but if it makes your day to see me nude, have at it. I don't really care.

I may look, but I won't fuck around at the gym. I value my gym membership too much to screw up and lose it just for some piece of dick. Besides, I also don't want to go to jail.

i hate it when i catch people looking at me in the locker room. i feel self conscious and when the looking has been bad, i've been known to kind of give a dirty look. i don't say anything because it's a company gym and i don't know if i'd be starting something with a partner or something...

It happened more at my last gym back in the states. Don't you hate it when guys follow you from the steam room to the shower and back to the steam room. Lol this one time, i tricked this troll who thought i went back into the steam room. I just went straight to the locker to get changed after i showered. By the time he found me in the locker, i already had my shorts on. So he just went back to the steam room to creep on other guys lol. It sucks to go out of your way to avoid people.

A "beard" for a gay man is their best girl friend who they pretend to be dating.

The gym I work out at is the oldest gym in the United States. So the men's showers are very different from most gyms. The showers are made of solid marble and so is the floor. There are no doors on the showers, only side walls. Each shower has a marble slab that you can lie on, aim the shower head at your body and relax. One day this dude was following me all around the locker room and refused to take a hint, even after me giving him the evil eye repeatedly and quickly exiting any room he entered. I went to the end shower to escape him. Half way through my shower I felt eyes on me. I looked down and there he was, under the marble slab on his hands and knees looking up at me. He startled me so bad I kicked him in the face to make him go away. Then he goes to the shower in front of me that has a tiny peep hole. I knew he was watching me through this hole so I grab a handful of conditioner, walk over to the peep hole and wipe it across the hole so he couldn't see. He immediately put his mouth to the hole and blew the conditioner out. By then I'm fuming. I walked over to his shower and yelled at him and informed him there was a bath house 4 blocks away.

I have dozens of stories just like this one of guys who are so brazen. They don't give a shit how uncomfortable they make anyone else, as long as they get their thrill.

I take it as a compliment, it really does not bother me. My racquetball buddy (ex-Marine) on the other hand cranks bitch mode way up and loudly calls attention to the situation, trying to publicly shame the offender. He is the locker room sheriff and if he notices anyone doing it to anyone, not even just me or him, he gets involved. It is cute when he gets riled up for someone looking at me (we are DEFINITELY not together and we never would be) ... and scary at the same time.

If you have a problem just tell the guy you are not interested. Watch the closet-case get flustered, inform you he is "not gay," and he will find one of the many other dudes to go look at until they get enough of a mature spine to tell him it is inappropriate.

Guys don't check out ugly guys in some weird freakshow fetish like we look at medical textbooks - it is a compliment at the end of the day, just be happy your body can arouse someone still icon_biggrin.gif

I'll glance around, but by no means would I stare or "creep" like most of the guys there do.

Looking is fine. Leering is not. I don't care if you look, but don't stare. It goes from flattering to creepy after a few seconds.

I'm not shy when it comes to nudity in the locker room, but it's not an open invitation to leer at me or come on to me. If you're naked - I will definitely look at you (and I mean everyone) for 1-2 seconds, but that's it. I expect the same courtesy.

If you like what you see - say hello - preferably when we both have pants on. You'll get a lot further that way than by staring at me and touching yourself in the shower.

NOAC assume? Having been to your gym only once I found it one of the strangest and most amazing clubs I have been too. The locker room is just bizarre - the ornate marble in the steam room, the eighteen foot ceilings above the showers and the mortuary style marble slabs next to each one.

I found the bar serving hurricanes a touch out of place (well it is New Orleans). The pool with the two story atrium and wrought iron second floor balcony is gorgeous . . . I wish I had brought a suit.

I certainly was checked out there; had a smile or two thrown my way which made me feel welcome.

Getting back to the thread, a discreet smile in the locker room and an introduction outside of it is so much classier. Too bad more guys don't realize this.

There's this dude who (I highly suspect) pumps his dick in the parking lot before he enters the gym. He goes straight to the locker room and never works out. His dick is always plump the minute he takes his pants off and he's got about 9 inches, so you can't help but look. Then he goes to the steam room and stands just inside the door so his dick acts like a turn stile made of flesh. You practically have to push it out of the way to get in the steam room. He carries his towel at his side and is very careful to NEVER obstruct the view of his cock with the towel. The couple of times I've seen him not pumped up, he keeps his towel on.

Just walk up and start licking people. It might work.
