EAT. That is the biggest thing. Make sure you're getting plenty of carbs and protein before and after each workout.

Barbell exercises (cleans, curls, presses, deadlifts) generally work the best; body-weight training (like pull-ups) is also good. Lift until failure, then move on to the next exercise. Try to train groups together, so like a bicep day, pec day, etc. Give yourself plenty of rest before working the same group again, since overtraining can actually have the opposite effect because you'd be tearing down your muscles but not letting them recover.

That's the damn truth. Eat as clean as you can (i.e. cut dairy, fat, sugar), but get plenty of protein and good complex carbohydrates (sweet potato, brown rice, or fiberous veggies), eat often (every 2-3 hrs), and eat lots! I imagine that your metabolism probably runs like a mouse on a wheel after running track... give your body what it needs to function, then more to grow on!

    Good luck, man!
