    PAG- THE LADY IS DEAD

This is someone's own take on a gorgeous song by The Irrepressibles. "In This Shirt."

    Lyrics:

I am lost, in our rainbow, now our rainbow has gone,
Overcast, by your shadow, as our worlds move on,
But in this shirt, I can be you, to be near you for a while,
There's a crane, knocking down all those things, that we were,
I awake, in the night, to hear the engines purr,
There's a pain, it does ripple through my frame, makes me lame,
There's a thorn, in my side, it's the shame, it's the pride...
Of you and me, ever changing, moving on now, moving fast,
And his touch, must be wanted, must become, through your ask,
But I need Jake to tell you, that I love you, it never rests,
And I've bled every day now, for a year, for a year,
I did send you a note on the wind for to read...
... Our names there together must have fallen like a seed...
... To the depths of the soil buried deep in the ground,
On the wind, I could hear you, call my name, held the sounds,
    I am lost,
I am lost, in our rainbow, now our rainbow has gone,
I am lost, in our rainbow, now our rainbow has gone,
    I am lost

    ^^^ Me too!

The video is fragmented and good to watch. I can understand that there is something about lost or confused identities, it left me very confused and isolated. The song is totally overpowered by it and the music. In fact, I forgot that there was a song with it. All I got was that it's sad. I do like the lyrics.

I'm sorry, OP, but I just can't comment on your link - I would have to make several new forum threads to put down everything that came into my mind while watching that mind-blowing video U_U

The video reminds me a bit of the video for Scissor Sisters' Invisible Light but I don't find it as compelling as what Scissor Sisters did. The song is great, though. I like the song better than the video.

Old video. It represents youth that has been lost but remembered with age. There is significant symbolism in everything. Enjoy interpreting and figuring it out.

I feel like the singer/songwriter lost his boyfriend to the scene. Everyone in this video is an exaggeration of someone you've met before. (Just a thought)

A friend of mine knows the guy who made the video. He said "The video is a reflection of the gay scene and of how it puts so much emphasis on stuff like youth and external´╗┐ appearance or money and fame. It's about how people don't think of consequences and just live for some instant gratification. The point of it all is that we'll all just end up literally devouring ourselves just like the guy in the end of the video does." I´╗┐ can see that.
