He played in the title role of Gladiator: Blood and Sand and was brilliant in not only in physique but his acting skills were not bad either.... He was later diagnose with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2010....He went under treatment and was cleared...Only for it to come back two months...

He passed away yesterday, with his family , he leaves behind his wife and two girls...

He will be missed by everyone....

As for the new season...He will be replaced by Liam McIntyre , who does has the actors likeness....

Lets hope he does a good job, as did the former Champion!

    RIP

Ahhh such sad news! He had the same type of cancer my dad had, though fortunately my dad survived it.

RIP Andy, Spartacus was a great show and it won't be the same without him I don't think.

True most people may not even know him...

But the guy really had great potential for his career to open out to better things.

Very sad. I had thought he was doing well.

Without him and Varro, I'm not sure I'll watch the third season....but I probably will.
