    Hello Men!

I'm going to have a holiday in Hawaii next month, and I'll spend 10 days there. First I'll go to Honolulu from Friday to Monday, and then I'll fly to Maui for the rest of the week.

Does anyone have any advice on where to go and what do do? Any favorite places, activities, beaches, clubs, restaurants that you can recommend?

Thanks! If anyone needs advice about what to do in Tokyo or Kyoto, let me know and I'll be happy to share my favorite places icon_smile.gif

I lived in Honolulu for a few years. It's a great place to visit.

There's a long thread started by Cityaznguy from a few months ago that has lots and lots of recommendations. Give it a read. And have fun!

Here is a nice thread on what people suggest while in Oahu.

    With Maui, I reccomend these:

Sights / activities Haleakala sunrise, Road to Hana(make sure you visit the pools of Oheo) and Hamoa beach. *side note: also make sure you visit Lahaina. It is a very nice town with quaint galleries and shops.

Beach: Wailea beach and Makana beach both were nice. If you go to the big beach, make sure you be careful, I almost broke my neck there. Ythe wave is strong.

Shopping: whaler's village and shops at Wailea and both nice places. The latter is more high-end and is a cookie monster for your bank account icon_sad.gif

    Aloha Bodynsoul!

One of the most amazing experiences I ever had in my life was hiking into the Haleakala crater. I stayed in one of the cabins overnight! Absolutely mesmerizing!
You have to take all the food and water with you and it's not an easy hike, but definitely worth it!

    On Maui,

Restaurants: Mama's Fish House, Five Palms, Spagho's, and some place upland that used to be a big grocery store... Pretty popular place, just ask around.

Drive south of Big Beach toward Makena and there are some fun Kayak adventuring trips you can take through some neat terrain.

A sunrise at the top of the volcano is unforgettable.

Hiking up the Iao valley is pretty... Just don't leave the trails no matter how tempting.

Go to Jaws and check out the surf and surfers.

The big Banyan tree in Lahaina is pretty neat.

Hana is great to go but if you're short on time, I wouldn't recommend it.

Whale watching is superb and I believe this is the time of year for it.

    Have fun.

    PS.

Don't go to Hawaii and shop... they're so many better things to spend money and time on there.

    Thanks to all you Men!!

Really appreciate the advice and I'll def follow up on several recommendations.

Leaving tomorrow-- yay, first time to visit Hawaii! I'll post some photos and highlights when I get back, and share so that if anyone else will be going iin the future they can see how I liked the hotels, beaches, activities and clubs, etc.

We will stay at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki in Oahu, and the Ritz Carlton Kapalua (sp?) in Maui.

    Cheers!

Maui. If you scuba dive there are boats that go out to Lanai. Drive to Hana is an early morning drive and lasts all day pretty much (mainly just scenic). Get a plate lunch somewhere with Hawaiian food. Some places in Lahaina. It is closer to Hawaiian style food than the crap that Korean owners open up here on the mainland. Big Beach near Kihei is a nude beach toward the end and it's beautiful.

Oahu. Drive around the island in about 5 hours. It is an experience in itself. Waimea Falls and Bay near Sunset Beach is the best part. Workout at Max's gym in Waikiki. You can work out and it's a sex club too if you are into that. Equipment is just basic, but it is really cool on the balcony working out in paradise.
