I have a question about tattoos. I’m wondering what happens to their appearance if you gain weight or muscle after the tats are done. Or vice versa, lose weight or muscle size. How, or would, the appearence of the tattoo become distorted.
I am one of the few gay men I know that doesn't have one. I’m not considering getting one either-just not my style, but am curious about what it would do with weight/muscle gain or loss.

I'm curious about that question as well. I talked to a guy in my gym and he told me he did his bicep ring tattoo 17 years ago. He told me to build up a bit, but not to the extreme and THEN do the tattoo. He's been constantly going to the gym and it doesn't look stretched at all.

As for losing weight, I think the tattoo just shrinks in size.

It will change very little. Not something you need to really worry about unless you're planning on drastically altering your weight, and even then you're probably fine. The main thing is to keep them protected in the sun as much as possible, especially if yellows and oranges are used in the tattoo.
