I really want to hear as many opinions to this as possible. I got the link from the Phillip DeFranco show on youtube. A young couple wants to raise their child as long we the people give them two million dollars to pull it off. Apparently the guy was surprised when his girlfriend got pregnant even after she was on the pill and he pulled out icon_rolleyes.gif ; he also didn't think to wear protection either. The whole story can be found here

I just hope that this is not a scam for money, that would be really messed up.

    Wow, that's disgusting and exploitative.

"We really don't believe in abortion but we're too self-centered and lazy to either put our dreams on hold or combine the pursuit of our dreams with doing the hard work it takes to raise a child, so we're asking for free hand-outs and if you don't give us the hand -outs, we're aborting the baby even though we don't believe in aborting the baby."

"P.S. We don't believe in adoption because we're scared to leave the baby in 'the big, bad world' but we aren't afraid to abort the baby if you don't finance his upbringing!"

What douche bags. Judge Judy would have a field day with these kids.

I say we wait until the baby is born, then abort the mom and dad. Let's take a vote.

Obviously these people are not prepared to be parents. Why not use some of the time and money it took to create that site and put it towards preparing for pregnancy and subsequent adoption.

    What dullards.

They'll get the money. There are enough ignorant religious zealots in this country to assure this.

2 million dollars is what it'll take to raise a child from birth to legal adulthood. It'll definately go up in the next 18 years, maybe even to 4 millions. Number crunching aside, I don't think that the newborn baby or the adults will actually come to benefit from having the millions in cash upfront. They may just be tempted to buy the things they couldn't if they had to wing it and be responsible broke parents, like most people are. I can't wait to see the next scam they pull. Maybe a church or charity scam, that'd show their true colors.

I highly doubt it. So far, they've barely netted over $20.

And another thing... this is a classic hoax that people seem to fall for no matter how many times it appears on the 'net.

They have this page loaded with google ads. That alone should raise red flags.
