Literally...SHIT! I come home at 3 am and step in a huge pile of dog shit.

I got so pissed I started yelling at the top of my lungs in my neighborhood saying, "WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK! THIS IS DISGUSTING. CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR FUCKING DOGS PEOPLE!"

Then I went up stairs, had an old 20 gal. aquarium and threw it down from my balcony and busted it on the sidewalk. HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT MOTHER FUCKERS! CLEAN THAT SHIT UP! HOPE YOU DON'T CUT YOUR FUCKING TOES OFF!

Now I have to go scrub the bottom of my shoes tomorrow off dookie shit because lazy bastards want to have a bunch of dogs and not bend their ass over and scoop their shit.

(I'm kidding I didn't actually do that...but I'm writing a letter to management tomorrow. Be a bit more professional since I'm the only Black person in this neighborhood.)

But boy if I was drunk and had a bad night...it would have been all hell. Wake up mother fuckers. You all done pissed off the wrong neighbor.

Well I guess since this is a forum I should ask a question besides ranting.

What's the best way to clean off poop? Should I just throw them out or throw them into the neighbors window with a note attached?

I'm already causing a stir in my new apartment building because if this. The owners have actually installed dog-pickup stations around the grounds that supply you with a bag and a little bin to toss it in, like you'd see in petsmart or something. Still, I'll see people with their dogs who will stand right outside the main entrances, away from those stations.. Let their dog shit.. And then just walk inside. I'll straight up pull up beside them and ask where their bag is. They always just stare at me until I tell them to get one from the station. It's so frustrating... I'm not getting paid to be the shit police but I'm sick of smelling it, and dodging it. I pick up after my dog.. They should too. Worthless lazy assholes.

Hot water and bleach works just fine.

Also if you had a drunk night I don't think you'd be in best position to want to start a fight or cause a scene seeing as how the cops would be called and you'd probably be hauled away on account of you being drunk and causing a disturbance. Not a good image from the only black person on the block. Wouldn't you agree?

I do feel your pain and I find it disgusting when people who own pets don't clean up after them. I actually confronted one of my neighbors about this when I watched her lad drop a deuce and then she started walking away and she was right next to doggie bag station.

I said "Hey are you gonna pick up your shit?" very loudly. She looked at me like she didn't know what I was talking about so I pointed to the pile her lab made and then pointed to the doggie bag station. She reluctantly came over and picked it up then was said "You should learn to mind your own business." to which I replied in a very calm voice "You should learn to clean up after your fucking dog because kids play in this area including yours and I know you'll be the first person to pitch a fit if your kid falls in some shit or if someone elses dog drops a bomb in your yard. Do you have anything else to say?"

She walked off quickly and now cleans her dog's messes.

Alaska has a leash law and I get mad when I see people walking their dogs without them for reason like this.

The Earth needs animal waste to flourish. Humans have lost their fucking minds to think everything must be picked up and placed in a plastic bag and sit forever in a landfill. I'm not saying dogs should be allowed to shit where people have to walk, but there should be places where animals can take a fucking crap without someone having to pick it up. It's just against nature! Humans have become so far removed from nature and where we come from and the video above is just proof of that.

There is. It's called your backyard and if you don't have one of those then take them out in the woods somewhere and if that isn't an option then you are stuck with having the responsibility of cleaning up after them because nobody wants to deal with somebody else shit, figuratively and literally.

Also being a dog owner yourself you must know that dog shit pretty much kills everything it lays on and can harbor some pretty nasty critters called parasites, right?

I always pick up after my pooch, I even use biodegradable dog bags so that it won't be in the land waste forever.

I have a back yard as well as a front yard, so it's a non-issue for me. But not everyone is that lucky. My point is, cities should have more green areas for humans as well as their dogs. Humans disrupt the cycle of life at every turn, and believe it or not, those parasites you speak of are an important part of the life cycle. I've taken care of hundreds of dogs and cleaned up each and every one's poop and I've never once contracted a parasite. If we continue to sterilize nature the same way we disinfect our kitchen counter, we will all be dead.

    Dear Mocha,

this problem existed in Manhattan years ago and the city passed
THE POOPER SCOOPER LAW. I'd say its 99.9% effective and
you rarely see dog poop on the streets.

So why not get your city/town to pass the same law. People will be fined
who break the law or their dogs will be taken away. The law works.

    Good Luck,
    Steve

Actually according to most counties located in states if you go into the County Clerk Office you can get a special tag saying your dog is trained well enough to not need to be leashed...but I'm assuming most of these people haven't applied for this. Usually the town with require them to prove it either through a receipt from an education training class or showing them in person!

No trying to be mean bu t I'm sure it will be taken that way.

You've lucked out and have done a good job of raising and taking care of your dogs without getting a parasite. Others aren't so fortunate and I wouldn't say having parasites in the human body is a natural thing. In fact, it can be quite fatal. Parasites are opportunistic and don't really care about hosts so long as it's alive and fits the parasites living requirements and most of them cause some serious damage with no concern at all. Also not too many animals rely on parasites to survive (humans aren't one of them) so there goes that theory. Please explain the purpose of parasites other then being uninvited guests who have habit of doing and leaving damage.

Notice how the life rate of humans has gone up when we learned how to be clean and disinfect things or did someone forget the usage and reason of penicillin and soap? Dog shit is just fucking nasty and KILLS damn near everything it touches so regardless of if it's in your backyard or in a specific place for shitting it still needs to be cleaned up.

That would be like you taking a shit in your own backyard. I'm sure you'd be cleaning that up real quick but thankfully you don't have to because that's what toilets are for. Do a little history on why we have toilets. It's quite interesting. Dogs, sadly, don't have that luxury therefore we clean up after them because if not we'd have a bit of problem.

If you wanna talk about humans fucking things up in the natural cycle of things then owning a dog would be one of them or did you forget that we domesticated them and you currently own one. Not really helping the cause if you own one.

I'm just saying. Oh yeah and you probably have to clean up your back and your front yard so it would still be an issue for you unless you like stepping in land mines on a daily basis, having a fucked up and smelly yard and like living around shit.

    I'm just saying.

if only you'd done that... would have scared the shit out of your neighbours (and their dogs) for such a long time that you just might never have to worry about it again. But... you know which neighbour? Sounds like you do so you could always approach him/her/them and fuck them in the face with words.

We're talking about DOG POOP which is not good for the soil or grass that grows out of it. Dogs don't shit out the same stuff wild animals do and it's just not good for the environment.

I feel ya, scattered dog poop is BS! My bf has a dog (she's growing on me) and I don't even like taking her for walks around town because, even though I meticulously clean up after her, I still feel it's sorta wrong to bring a animal in public just to crap : ()

Haha. You should try living in France. No one there cleans up after their dogs. It's an assault course everytime you go for a walk.

I was cycling in Nice past some pooch having a crap on the street last week and it's owner got a bag out of her pocket and cleared it up and the shock of it almost caused me to fall off my bike.

I rarely see any dog crap around here.

theantijock saidAlso piles of shit attract flies which bring disease and worms which put your pet into harm's way.

    Some diseases flies bring include:

Tell me about it! I have an issue with gnats to the point I haven't even been able to open my windows during cool nights. When I moved here the ground was covered in snow for months so I never had to worry about it and the shit was practically covered in snow LOL.

A fly just came in here today, moving very slowly. slower than the average fly. Fat off it's SHIT feast. I took my hands and clapped that ho. It hit the ground immediately.

Whenever I see a gnat or fly in my house, I go nuts and bug spray the entire room. I don't want the same thing that grew from a pile of dog shit to be landing on the fucking food that I put in my mouth icon_evil.gif
